After a sad 2 studio-less years for west Bloor West Village, after Moksha’s landlord suddenly and unceremoniously ended their lease early and kicked them out to redevelop the building, it is SO nice that the owners have finally been able to save up again and rebuild. And the new space is right across the street from the old studio and looks out at the Don’t Worry Be Happy sign they had to leave behind — that has to be some kind of karma! :) There is one large heated mirrored practice room, new change rooms with(at least in the women’s!) 4 working showers(2 individual), and many of the same friendly welcoming staff and patient, encouraging teachers. There are more Yin style classes and 75 minute Moksha hot yoga classes on the schedule now than at the old studio — a good thing in my opinion! My only request is another late-night class for those of us who aren’t home from work in time for the 8pm one!

Im so happy that we have a Moksha in the west end again. The new studio is just across the street from the old one, a little smaller, but still very nice. With all the nice wood furniture and floors, it’s refreshing when you walk in, and at the risk of sounding cliché, but seems like you walk into a sanctuary, away from the hustle of the real world. I just got that feel when I walked in. Although I was a student from the old studio, since their opening, I think everyone is eligible for the $ 40 unlimited month intro pack. Their classes are either 60⁄75 Moksha or Flow, but Sunday evening, they have a Restorative class that has live music which sounds like I’d like to check out. I haven’t done hot yoga in 2 years, so it was nice to get back. I had a great class today. At 9:30am on a weekday, the class was pretty full.
