Neighbour Note offers stress-​free private music lessons of the highest quality, right in the comfort of your home. Our lessons are always fun, educational, and personal. Guitar, Piano, Alto Saxophone, Bass, Drum lessons, and more. We also offer fun and exciting music programs such as Rock Band, Guitar Ensemble, and group music lessons. RCM Theory classes are also offered. There are no contracts or registration fees at Neighbour Note. The first lesson is always free for new students. Neighbour Note offers current guitar students free guitar repairs and maintenance. There are numerous performance opportunities for all Neighbour Note students. There are a minimum of four student recitals per year. Neighbour Note teachers are highly educated, and experienced. With over 18 years of proven teaching experience, and multiple University degrees in Education and Music Performance, we are eager to start teaching you today! Currently serving the West Toronto community

History

Established in 2011.

After teaching for numerous different music conservatories and studios in the Niagara Region and Ottawa, John and Kristin moved to Toronto so Kristin could complete her PhD in musicology at York University. In 2009, John founded the Glen Lake School of Music which ended up being a precursor for Neighbour Note.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

John has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Music degree from Brock University. He has been teaching guitar for over seventeen years, and has been playing guitar for over twenty years. Aside from being a guitar coach and guitar instructor, John is also quite an experienced music theory teacher.

John has taught for four different music schools in the Niagara Region, and now teaches in the GTA. John has been the sole proprietor of both The Niagara Region Private School of Music, and The Glen Lake School of Music. Currently, John is now the sole proprietor of Neighbour Note.
