Can’t ever walk out of there without coming out with something fun or yummy for my kitties, even if I go in just to browse. The service is fast and friendly. The prices are reasonable. Plus I love visiting the 2 resident store cats.

We bring our dog into doggy daycare maybe once or twice a week here. We really appreciate the affordable pricing and caring attention of their employees. My dog really likes the owner, which is a good sign as any to me. Their mascot, a beige french bulldog, is sometimes in the store when I drop my puppy off and is very cute.
If the pricing stays the way it is, it’s a great way to give a lonely dog some much needed social interaction! However, if you want to buy something or drop off your dog, it is not a fast process, so leave early! The products that they are offer are varied and pretty much everything a spoilt or unpampered dog could need. I wish they didn’t sell pig ears though, as those can be very harmful to dogs– but really, they have so much choice that you don’t have to buy those if your pup needs a chewy snack.
The only suggestion that I have is for comfortable seating to be added in their daycare center. I’ve walked in a few times and it’s just hard flooring. My pup loves couches and beds, so I think it would make her considerably happier to have that comfort available during my 8 – 10 hour work days. Their social isolation method on the first day is a little weird, but it seems like they didn’t crate my dog from that point onwards (she gets depressed and mopey for hours afterwards when that happens), so it’s a very minor problem. It’s very important to most owners that their dogs are not crated during daycare, since you’re paying at least $ 25 per day for them to be with other dogs. I know for a fact that Umbrella does crate their animals for the daytime and so I refuse to spend my money there. Pet Social is much better, I would recommend it to a friend.

The only thing that keeps me from making this my main pet store is that it’s not close to where I live. Otherwise, everyone here is very nice, always gives the dogs treats, and actually carries some of the harder to find things like frozen meat for raw diets. They also have neat sales, and don’t mind when your dog grabs a toy and starts running — though I did end up paying for it. I didn’t have the heart to take it away.

No qualms with the service or staff at Petsocial, they always treat my dog like she’s part of the family. I just wanted to add that I found the grooming prices to be quite reasonable. For a full groom at another local pet store I was paying $ 30 more! Also, when I was looking for a product they didn’t carry in store, Suzanne offered to order it in special for me. Great customer service in my opinion.

My boyfriend raved about the place when it first opened. He came home and told me how nice and helpful the lady at the store was to him.
First time I walked in with my boyfriend, the same lady asked: Are you two together? what a random question. Then ignored us.
Love the store, the décor, and its convenient location. The staff however, have never been pleasant and provide rather poor service. They are also really judgmental and just stand there and give you the cold shoulder.
I took my dog to get a his nails filed for a rather steep price. They were well done, but still quite long.
I went back the next day trying to explain that maybe we could lower the price for grooming because my dogs nails were done just yesterday, The lady outright ignored me for 7 minutes until the groomer told her I had questions (as if standing right beside her wasn’t a sign.) Also didn’t give me the time of day and just said «you can leave your dog here.» I asked how long it would take and I got a «Well, possibly 3 – 4 hours, you know, we did squeeze you in.» I really didn’t appreciate her attitude. She told me she would call … but didn’t ask for my number, had to give it to her.
When my dog was done grooming there wasn’t a huuge difference. His bottom half didn’t get a hair cut. They also didn’t clean his teeth bc «he has such perfect teeth» or do his nails because they were done yesterday by the same people.
So what did I pay $ 80 for? a whole lot of attitude and a mediocre brushing.
Its a shame because the store could do SO much better with some pleasant welcoming and charismatic staff.

I enjoy frequenting pet stores as I like to spoil all of my animals, but I can’t say my experience here has been 100% enjoyable.
I’ve been into the store a couple of times now and while the one time the younger girl (I think her name is Jessica) was really pleasant, making conversation etc. (more stars for her), the other times I was completely ignored. I asked questions and tried to chat a bit about some of the products and got short one word answers, and the vibe that I was not worth the time.
Maybe I’m not a regular but I don’t feel like that justifies ignoring me, and it doesn’t make me want to spend money; which is too bad because they seem to have some nice stuff.
