Pedicure– it was just ok. Good colour application but no leg massage and very little smoothing out the rough spots (last pedi was three weeks ago so not much in the way of rough spots). $ 39 with tax. I’m sure cash price is different. Would probably go back since they’re so close to home but will look around more first.

I was hesitant to come here after reading the negative reviews but I had a great experience. The woman who did my nails was very friendly and really took her time doing my nails. Very happy with how they turned out. Prices were reasonable too!

I’m came for a wax and was escorted to the back room. Very dingy is putting it nicely. For some reason I decided to go through with my wax…
I closed my eyes and key the women start the procedure. She went to out baby powder on my leg zoned I immediately stopped her to wash her hands! What PROFESSIONAL aesthetician starts a service without washing her freakin hands???
I don’t know if she was touching money, dirty tools, etc… Gross!
She reluctantly washed them with a nice roll of the eyes… Great customer service!
Then the wax started. Halfway through the service I noticed that she was double dipping the stick. I asked her why she was doing that!!! Her answer is that we don’t dd for bikini or Brazilians. WTF? U can still get an infection Lady!
It is obvious that I will NEVER return or recommend thus place. In fact, it should be shut down.

My friend has come here for years, and highly recommended it, so she made an appt for the 3 of us. My friend is still quite happy with her «regular lady» while the 2 of us thought it was way overpriced for the quality of service we got. My lady was pleasant, lots of colour choices, location was good, place was clean, we made an appointment and the 3 of us were served at the same time, takes credit card, so that was good.
However, two of my nails chipped within 3 days. The polish edge near my cuticles were not straight, the top coat was not fully covering my nail, etc. Overall, the experience was not a $ 50 one, and there are much better mani/​pedi options at $ 35 that are much better quality than this one.
I would not return for these prices at this level of service.

I came here for the very first time in December primarily because of the location. This steps from my office. I ran in during lunch, and got myself a bikini wax. For the wax along with back i was charged 45 $. Thats okay’ish i think. Two months later, emergency situation, i had to pop back in there for a bikini wax. It was a complete disaster. Double dipping. The lady was literally yanking the strips off my body. I felt swollen and sensitive in the area for a while, and had to put some medication on it. I got zits on my back as well. Whats worse is that now that the hair is growing out-​the texture is similar to what it would have been if i had shaved it. Ive been waxing myself for over 4 years now and ive never had such a terrible experience. i walk out of there-​and they charged me a whoppping 67 $ for this. For the same service i got the last time. I asked them why-​and they tell me this was always the
never coming back here again… thumbs down. thoroughly dissappointed.

Bottom line: It is overpriced
Details: $ 50 for mani pedi is just too much. The massage chairs didn’t work, the water had no bubbles in it, and the job done was sloppy. I had to repaint my toes the next day at another salon. And redo the cuticle job today. I’m not returning and neither is my friend.

I came here with a party of girls to get our nails done before a friend’s wedding so my review is on the basis of us renting the place out. That said, I can’t imagine the service would be much different on any other day. I was very, very pleased with the experience. Usually such salons offer cheap mani/​pedis but you pay in service — not that its always bad but usually just mediocre at best. These estheticians were noticeably more personable and BEST of all — they took their time!!! They were throough in makijng sure we were all dry, and they let us all bring in lunch after and sit around and eat while they cleaned. It was a very relaxed, fun ambiance and I would certainly visit again. Most important, my nails were done with great precision and lasted for 2 weeks (shellac).

I am always on the fence about these kinds of places. And today, I am on the fence again. As expected, the service was awful.
From the moment I walked in and saw the twelve year old cashier, I knew this was going to be unpleasant. I feel weird about twelve year olds working at nail salons and this was no different. The fact that she was the only one in the building who spoke English at a conversational level was also a tough pill to swallow.
There was definitely some confusion about how much anything was going to cost. I wanted the shellac manicure and pedicure in the style posted in the Unilocal pictures (French with teal nail polish). There were a few different figures tossed around with no agreement on which one it would actually be.
Then, when I went to choose colours, I was made to feel like a fool again. It wasn’t made clear to me which ones were shellac and which ones were just nail polish. And apparently with shellac, certain colours are applied on the fingers and others on the toes. And these can never be switched…
When I got into the chair, I was told that I would not be getting the kind of manicure I requested because I would not look good with it. My nails were painted before I could protest. Also, they don’t clean the skin on the bottom of your feet well when doing the pedicure.
The thing is — my fingers and toes look great. The shellac lasted for a long time and the colour is gorgeous. Not a mistake was made with the polish. But was it worth the harassment.

I’m from New York, and nail salons in NYC are on every single corner. So, it takes a lot for me to really like a nail place. I’m in Toronto for the next 2 months, so I figured I’d try the closest location.
Q spa is AWESOME! I called about 10 minutes before I walked on over. FYI, there is a Starbucks right next door in case you need to wait a few minutes. They got a pedicure and a shellac manicure done in an hour and ten minutes!!! My toes look perfect, and she was so meticulous.
Usually, I would feel rushed when two people are doing my mani/​pedi at the same time, but they were really great. My shellac turned out shiny, thin, and perfect-​looking even though I was their last customer.
I would highly recommend, and I’m going here for the next 2 months!

After walking into a typical spa that I had been to just once before and being told it would be a 30 minute wait, I biked around town, trying to find a quicker seating for a pedicure. I probably could have sat down and waited, but I ended up at Q Spa, based on Unilocal’s app of nearby beauty spas. The photo was not on my app, so i missed the fact that a hideous green wall would blind me as I tried to pick a pink for my toes.
Ugh, they also had CP24 on TV, which is so not relaxing…
I got a decent pedicure, that lasted no shorter or longer than any other pedicure. I was shocked at how expensive it was, though.
Has King West becoming the clubbing capital made this area so high rent that the spa has to pass along the cost to us customers? More than $ 40 for a totally non-​relaxing environment, rushed, and normal pedi– no thanks.

I was a walk in, and I’m usually very hesitant about these ‘walk in welcome’ places, but this place was and is amazing.
It’s spotless, and the staff are all adorable.
My $ 35 pedicure was quiet honestly, the BEST one I’ve had in a reeeeeeeallly long time.
The polish job was perfect, and the shaping was spot on. I can’t still barely believe it! They didn’t even rush me out. They had me sit with my little perfect toes under the drier for a long time — with a stack full of NEW mag’s. I was in heaven. I have to admit.
My leg massage. I could actually feel my eyes rolling back into my head. The tv was on softly, and the radio was set to a chill station.
They use OPI and Essie nail polish. It’ s miracle!
None of those dollar store crappy gooey messed up nail polish bottles you see at the other discount nail places around town.
I will definitely be returning as a regular. Lucky for me, it’s across the street from where I live.

I can recommend Q Spa for it’s friendliness, professionalism and overall atmosphere. The owner and nail technician were friendly and made me feel very welcomed.
If it wasn’t for the very specified service I was looking for, I would probably be back. I went for an UV gel refill with french tips; I chose Q Spa as it is in my neighbourhood and reasonably priced. And again, everyone was very very nice. The technician used a powder gel and airbrushed on my tips — two techniques I had never used before.
Ladies (and any inclined gents)! Step away from this procedure at Q Spa! The next day, my nails turned yellow, and almost immediately, the air-​brushed tips began to chip off! To Q Spa’s credit, I returned 2 days later, and they were extremely apologetic and redid my nails on the spot. However appreciative I was for their customer service, my nails once again turned yellow (so embarrassing!) and the tips lasted nary a work week. I was told later by another nail spa that the yellowing is due to the powder product reacting to sunlight — so, not knocking the lovely ladies at Q Spa, but I can’t go back.
Some general notes:
— space is very clean, but there wasn’t any obvious evidence that the equipment was sanitized (this is something I look for when going to a spa for the first time)
— Could use some additional ventilation
— relaxing atmosphere
— no entertainment besides the 24 hrs new channel (this isn’t important to me, just thought I would mention it! Thought it was a strange channel choice for a spa, no?)

First time ever in Canada/​Toronto and I managed to get one of the best pedicures ever. Attention to detail, thorough, very friendly, not pricey, and my toes look great! Highly recommended.

I have been living in the King West area for almost a year now and up until a week ago, I would travel up to the Bloor area, midtown Toronto and even my old nail salon in Thornhill to get my nails done!
Finally I decided that enough was enough and that I wanted to find a place near my apartment that was clean, affordable and gave awesome manis and pedis!
I stumbled upon Q Spa right around the corner from my apartment at King and Peter Street/​Blue Jays Way and had my first experience there, which was nothing but enjoyable!
I got a manicure and a pedicure there and it was wonderful!
My pedicure was $ 35 and it included all of the key ingredients: amazing nail shaping, full cuticle treatment, a super long leg massage which moisturized my skin so well and relaxed my muscles and incredible toe nail polish application.
After my pedi was complete, I went on to get my manicure.
My manicure was $ 18 and included all of the key ingredients again, but it was to my hands and arms.
Aside from the amazing pedi and mani, Q Spa has such friendly and talented staff who are great at what they do.
Also, the polish selection is large there so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a colour of your choice.
Q Spa has great hours too!
They are open from Monday to Saturday from 10:30am until 8pm and on Sundays from 12pm until 7pm.
These hours are incredible because it allows me to either go after work on a weekday or find a time that works for me on the weekend.
They take cash, interac and visa and mastercard credit cards!
I definitely recommend Q Spa!
