Queen Compact Cars

They say you can’t trust used car dealers but last weekend I found an awesome vehicle at Queen Compact Cars. The one review on Unilocal for Queen Compact was positive so I went to check it out. I met with the company president, Joseph Geremia who seemed like a great straight-​forward guy. We verbally agreed to a price and inspection terms and he emailed me a contract and debited my VISA for downpayment. I got the signed VISA slip back by fax before the end of the business day. Inspection was booked for the following day.
To my shock and surprise I received an email later that evening cancelling the deal. Joseph said his father refused to have the car driven to the agreed upon inspection site. What kind of company president has to ask his father such things? I just didn’t understand.
The next day I called and his father Mario answered. He claimed that I didn’t pay in time, the car was sold to someone else, and then hung up on me. Ahhhhh, that’s it, they got better terms/​price and were weaseling out of the deal!
Joseph said that I didn’t sign the contract yet, so they weren’t obligated to me. Perhaps not LEGALLY but they most certainly had an ETHICAL obligation to sell the car to me. They could have contacted me and ask I fax the signed contract back. They could have asked me to have inspection done closer to their location. But no, they dumped me. And for what? Another customer. And probably a measly extra thousand bucks!
A business’ reputation is everything and acting ethically is the bare minimum to expect. Queen Compact Car acted unethically and unprofessionally with me. If you choose to do business with them, BEWARE.

You walk in here pick from their high quality inventory, get a decent trade in price for your ‘old’ vehicle and drive out shortly with your new car. Joseph is a well caring individual who will go above and beyond to ensure that you are happy with your purchase, even 30 days after you bought the car. These guys have been here for over 30 years and will continue to get my business.
Update: my friend just went to get his new car the (beautiful Subaru Forester) I believe he has found his new dealer…
