Established in 2014.

Mike MacConnell has been professionally involved in helping families and small business staff to resolve interpersonal problems for over 20 years. As the founder, co-​owner and vice-​principal of SOLA (School of Liberal Arts), a private high school in central Toronto, he was personally responsible for resolving issues between parents, students and staff. His experience as an educator has carried over into his career as a mediator. In 2013 he became certified as a family mediator. Mike founded Reflective Mediation in 2014, based on skills he has practiced for decades.

Mike MacConnell’s B.A. is in World Religion and B.Ed. in English, both from U. of T. He taught high school English, Phys. Ed. and Philosophy, then in 1989 founded SOLA (School Of Liberal Arts), a private high school that catered to bright underachievers seeking admission to university. As an administrator he was responsible for resolving interpersonal difficulties between students, parents and staff, and guidance in academic motivation.

In 2013 Mike completed two graduate certificate programs from York U. in Family Mediation and Dispute Resolution. He founded Reflective Mediation in 2014 with the intention of offering mindful mediation to families, businesses and schools.
