History
Established in 2002.
Dr. Sherebrin received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991. After ten years in practice she became increasingly frustrated with the chronic nature of the diseases she saw in her patients, and the inability to do more for them than suppress symptoms.
She began studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) to address the underlying disorders that produced the symptoms. Dr. Sherebrin became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2005, and has completed advanced training in Veterinary Tui-Na bodywork and Veterinary Herbal Medicine. She often lectures to both veterinarians and lay groups, and frequently mentors veterinary students and graduate veterinarians completing their internships in veterinary acupuncture.
She began seeing patients at the Secord Animal Hospital in 2006, and focuses on integrating Eastern and Western modalities for optimal health.
Meet the Business Owner
Rona S.
Business Owner
I graduated from OVC in 1991, and began studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) at the Chi Institute in 2002. My youngest child (of 3) was also born in 2002 so it took me until 2005 to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist! I have completed advanced training in Veterinary Tui-Na and Veterinary Herbal Medicine. I am an active member of the Association of Veterinary Acupuncture Canada (AVAC); on the board as Chair of the Education Committee and the Ontario Regional Delegate. I am also on the International Ed. Committee of IVAS as the AVAC rep. When not working I somehow find time for my husband, 3 children, 2 cats, 1 dog and tiny garden. If anyone wants a good recipe for pickled green tomatoes, send me a note! Travelling to interesting mountainous places to hike is «high» on my list of recreational pursuits; recent trips have been to Greece, the Yukon, the Negev desert and the west coast of Ireland.
