Rosemary Beauty Spa

I will say upfront that I won’t be back die to the quality of the shellac manicure I got. It is streaky, uneven, bumpy and poorly done. I tried this place because of the reviews and the fact that they are open on Sunday’s, but I learned my lesson — I should have stuck with my regular salon.
Cons: the quality of work is bad. The interior was dull and dated. The color selection is small with one or two shade option. I was bored while the employee did my nails for a full hour. I’m happy I wasn’t getting my toes done too; no tv to distract me with.
Pros: price. Nice staff.

Great masseuses (Maggie and Tichika and another lady).
My body feels so many times better after leaving this place.
A must have experience when your body and mind are feeling weary.

Rosemary’s is small and rather odd looking. But that is the only real complaint. I have been several times and they have always done a good job. For me, the test is the manicure. The last one I had with regular polish lasted almost 2 weeks. They are super friendly and accommodating. Its close to home.

I too had a bad experience when redeeming a Group On. The overall massage was 2/​10, not enough pressure and it just started to feel like a back rub. As mentioned by Christine L, the shower was horrible. Not only that, it barely worked. When the water finally turned on, it was scolding hot and nothing I did could make the water cold. Once I finally managed to rinse off the scrub, I hoped that the pedicure would be decent. I completely lost hope the moment I sat down.
I have never been so disappointed, nor have I ever been so disgusted by a «spa». I hope Group On will offer a credit or something.

I wanted to like this place… it’s close by, it’s cheap (they always have Groupon deals), another aesthetician recommended it. As Jeanine D. mentioned, the staff are friendly — but to me, I felt they lacked effectiveness. The aesthetician who worked on me barely shared words, she could not explain the products when I asked «what are you putting on my face?» «Everything is 100% natural and organic.» Hmm… ok, but so is asbestos, cyanide and anthrax, slapping a ‘certified organic’ label on these ingredients still does not make me want them slathered on my face. The massage was long and weak even when I asked for more pressure in certain areas (they advertise deep tissue massages).
The space was not spa-​like or serene at all. The floors were clean but the shower was disgusting. There was black mould all over the inside of the shower stall and curtains. The slippers had some black/​oil stains on them. The sheets also had oil stains. The nail tools had dead skin clumped up on the blades. Not cool.
Worst part was when I was leaving (paid with a Groupon voucher), they charged me taxes on the retail value of the service vs the actual value that was paid. Totally illegal and unethical. I challenged them on it but just wanted to leave. I tipped the staff anyways — for their friendliness and time spent on me, not for their technique. Groupon will be hearing from me soon.

I went with some friends to Rosemary Beauty Spa this past weekend to celebrate our birthdays. I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised! The building doesn’t look amazing (there are bars on the windows) but inside was clean and professional. The staff was really lovely and we had a really fun time having massages, manicures, pedicures and facials!
But what really blew me away was that the staff had gotten birthday balloons and streamers as well as cake to help us celebrate. I’ve never heard of that before! Plus their prices were good. :)
Honestly, I’ve never had a business surprise me with this level of customer service (and I’m in Marketing so usually the one thinking of ideas to make customers love businesses).
I’d highly recommend Rosemary Beauty Spa!
