Royal Progress Car Wash

So, I was looking for a Hand Wash car wash to wash and clean both the exterior and interior. my friend Chris​gave me the closest one next to me as I was in that area: «Royalty Auto Spa» at 210 Don Park. I called them to check the price and time available… the earliest appointment was an hour away so I told him I was on the road and would not make it so late. he began to be condescending in his reply that we don’t have 30 people here working and we don’t do a shitty job here etc… to which I replied thank you. Today I went to «Royal Car Wash» at 900 Progress Road even though Chris said that he tried it there and his car was scratched. Well, because I am impatient I decided to try them instead of booking an appointment elsewhere and having to wait. When I got there I drove in to find the attendant not responsive to my questions, he didn’t speak a word but just pointed. so I thought he was mute. No worries, I then went to the cashier, and thought I had left my wallet in the vehicle, I asked him if it was safe there, he said this is not the ghetto we wouldn’t steal your wallet. I told him I haven’t heard that word «ghetto» in a long time even with my many trips in Canada and the States. He immediately blurted out how he hate the Americans that they are nasty, he hates the States… Anyways to change the subject, I continued to ask about the pricing etc. I then went to the waiting room where I met two workers who seem like they didn’t want to be there. I spoke with one of them asking him if the guy who met me first is mute, he said no. I then said it seems like the cashier has a chip on his shoulder. The guy replied that the customer service here sucks. My vehicle eventually came, I gave them both a tip of $ 2 each and left, came home to find that my car on the outside wasn’t cleaned properly, the mats weren’t dried. I will not go back to this car wash.

My wife took her car in and they stole her mats out of it and called her a liar said there weren’t any to begin with (it’s a 2yr old car) absolutely disgusting these pathetic excuses for business men stole from a woman they have no class and this business should be shut down.

The Unilocal reviews so far have been very polarizing so I’ll try to put my two cents in.
You get what you pay for. The prices are extremely cheap and the website seems to promise the moon. You do get pretty much everything that’s listed, but you get a rather rough job of each of them.
My car was pretty dirty, so in all honesty ANY half-​decent work would’ve made an improvement. And half-​decent work is pretty much what you get here. The production line system that they use in cleaning the cars make for an extremely quick, but not thorough, work on the cars.
If you’re coming for Super Wash or below, you’ll just start lining up at the back of the facility with no appointment. You stop where the attendant tells you to stop, and you pick up a plastic colour-​coded tag that denotes what kind of service you’ve requested. The attendants were kind of rough and weren’t the most helpful, I kind of had to assume a couple of things and when I asked I mostly got very short answers. You then pay on the inside as your car moves through several rounds of treatment by different groups of people/​machinery and pick the car up at the other end.
PROS:
— SUPER FAST. The whole thing took 15 minutes
— Cheap as hell, as anyone looking into this place would know
— The cashier, who I think is the owner, is a nice and helpful guy
CONS:
— Wait time before coming in could be a bit long
— The whole experience was «rough». The attendants that you take the car in were pretty gruff guys with minimal talking (unless you’re a cop maybe — this place prides itself on doing washes for the police) and the workmanship was rough
— Car was about 75%-85% clean after a Super Wash. Better clean the rest of it yourself if you want it actually «super clean».
My advice? Come here if your car is quite filthy inside and outside and you just gotta make things look much better in a jiffy. The $ 30 price tag will then be worth it. If you want fine, loving work, then in the name of Olympus go somewhere else.

This place is garbage. Paid for the super wash and wasn’t up to expectations. There was still dust on my dash and doors. They didn’t even bother with the cup holders. Talk about the rims still with soap. Not going back there again. Like they say. You get what you pay for.

This is a scam business. I washed my car there. Their equipment put small scratches on the car. Also the staff didn’t even dry the car properly. They charged me for waxing and tire cleaning but non of them were done properly. I would rather go to the touchless car wash next time. If you care about your car do not go there.

Just went for in/​out car cleaning. $ 27+tax and did everything. Very polite, patient, meticulous, etc… We have a minivan that we use to drive 2 dogs around so you can imagine how gross it gets… This is our new go to place!
