I went to this store to buy an Indian wear for my wedding… rani told me she has latest fashion and I agreed to make a purchase… she then said I need to go to another location for alteration and she will call me with a date since she is the one that will be sending the item bought and I cannot take it with me… I later on found out it was 2011 fashion and not current… I immediately requested my money back which she refused to refund me and also did not call me with a date for alteration… I then disputed my transactions through my credit card company which she is now claiming I took the item when it was bought
I am now loosing a large of sum of money for an item not received
Can someone help me as to what to do next?

I spent a whole afternoon shopping for a sari or lehenga for a wedding. As a white person from out of town, this was a daunting task. However, the owners of this store were wonderful. The selection is more limited but the service makes this place worth it.
Right away, the owner told me I should wear a sari, not a lehenga, because of my height. She said I would look beautiful, it would show off my curves, and it would be a timeless look. All things I wanted to hear.
The owner behind the counter also does all the tailoring, which was a huge plus for me. I could get all the details about the final product before I made the purchase. I didn’t have to go to another location and I was comfortable asking her all my questions. Plus, if something happens in the process and it needs to be replaced, etc. I’m still dealing with the same person.
She had great input on what would be a flattering style for my body type, how she would ensure I had lots of pleats, etc. She really put me at ease.
Highly recommended. Some other stores had bigger selections and some even better prices, but the people behind the counter were mean or pushy or ignored me completely. The combination of tailoring knowledge, service, and having a sari I really loved made this place.
I feel compelled to write this review in case another plus size woman or non-​Indian woman is in the same situation.
