I came here based on the raving reviews on Unilocal and this salon was fantastic! I never had a go-​to salon in Toronto but this might just be it!
Upon arrival, they hung my coat and gave me a little locker with key for storing my purse (super handy!) My hair stylist Jay was super friendly and did a great job asking about how I wanted my hair and cut accordingly. Then came the hairwash — OMG it was a hairwash and head massage in one — I did not want to leave the chair it was so comfy! This was followed by a neck and shoulder massage back at my chair — I had no idea this was part of the package and was thrilled! Amazing massage by Ophelia! Finally it was time for my blowdry — this was done by someone else as Jay was cutting someone else’s hair, but that’s OK because they’re all really friendly. Then Jay came back for adding final touches to layering my hair. A more unique sequence of cut-​wash-​masaage-​cut again sequence.
All this for an amazing price of $ 40 (and I had super long hair down to my waist, they did not charge extra for my length like some salons do!) Would definitely come back and recommend to all of my friends!

I was in town for New Years Eve, and on a whim decided to change up my look. I saw Eiko at Seefu, and she was amazing. I have very fine, thin hair that’s incredibly hard to curl, or do anything with, so I tend to trim it myself and avoid getting any layers. I was worried about trying a new salon but these guys were great. The service was top notch, they gave me the longest most thorough wash I’ve ever had, a massage, and a great haircut. I’ve been to salons that charged three times as much and offered much less in terms of service. If you have straight, thin, fine hair like mine, and not much of a budget to work with, go see Eiko!

After my second visit at Seefu I feel compelled to write a review! Tony has been my hair stylist for both of my salon visits and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at Seefu Spadina. After reading reviews I decided to try this salon out as their cuts were only $ 40 which is SO reasonable and the reviews were so good! Most salons charge $ 100 which I think is just ridiculous when you are after a trim so I appreciate that Seefu is very fair and reasonable to clients.
To start, both of my appointments have been walk-​in which is unreal! For my first appointment Tony cut my hair while it was dry which I really liked as my hair is quite fine and very wavy so this way I could see exactly how much length was being removed. He then asked me what colour I wanted to go and I told him I wanted to go back to my natural hair colour (very dark ash brown) and at that point my hair was very damaged and highlighted blonde. Well. my hair has never looked SO healthy, glossy and RICH! It looks so close to my virgin hair and I am super thrilled because given the damage my hair had endured I was worried I wouldn’t be able to achieve the depth of colour again.
From my cut, colour, blow-​dry & style I am so happy and to top it off Seefu offers a complimentary shoulder massage during your service which is so lovely! I noticed a few people had said in prior reviews that they felt worried about communication as some of the stylists have limited english so I went prepared with photos, asked questions and really made sure that we were on the same page. If you are confident to do this, I think Seefu is a wonderful salon with great stylists and an overall good experience. Thank you Seefu & Tony.

I hadn’t cut my hair in over a year. My experience with Toronto salons is very awful to medium awful, with the occasional OK-​but-​not-​great. I went to this salon because of the Unilocal reviews. It was my best salon experience ever.
I had a hair treatment and hair cut by Richie. He’s a real deal professional. I had that warm and fuzzing feeling of being in the hands of a true craftsman. I asked for a ½ inch trim, he suggested 2 inches, I said nope ½ inch, and that’s exactly what he did. He took his time, gave my hair his full attention, and did an outstanding job (10 out of 10). Frizzy split ends are all gone. On top of this is the full pamper treatment. Thank heavens, it’s still part of the spa/​salon experience somewhere. Perhaps standard in Japanese salons? The wash station chairs are neck strain free, the wash/​scalp massage was very relaxing. After this, there was a neck and shoulder massage, then onto the hair cut. There was no waiting. They were ready when I walked in, I moved from service to service with zero waiting. They deserve 7 stars.

I’ve been coming to Seefu ever since I heard about it last year. It’s a Japanese salon and haircuts are decently priced. I got my hair coloured by Koichi and he’s amazing. I had some blond in my hair that I wanted to dye a deep dark purple but my main concern was fading after a few washes. Koichi really listened to what I wanted. In the end, he dyed my hair a dark reddish colour before adding in the dark purple so it would last longer. It’s been about a month and I’m still getting compliments from random people. I love my hair. Definitely coming back.
P. S. The head, neck, and shoulder massage feels amazing.

I decided to check out this salon after reading all the raves on Unilocal.I had such an amazing experience at Seefu, and I can see why this place is highly rated.
Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. They were able to take me in without an appointment and only had to wait 5 – 10 minutes. I showed my hair dresser, Koichi, a picture of what I wanted with my hair during our consultation. He was very detail oriented, and even styled my hair exactly like the picture. They also give you a complimentary scalp + neck and shoulder massage!
Normally I get nervous about trying out new salons, but I’m confident that I’ll be back at Seefu!

Jay and Eiko are awesome. Before, I used to get my hair cut by Eiko but now I can only find time on weekends when she’s off so I switched to Jay.
Eiko takes a long time to carefully trim every split end I had the first time I went to this salon and that won me over right away. She recommends good products to save my hair from dryness without being pushy at all.
Jay is the epitome of care. He too likes to take his time and take pride in his work. Today I told him I had my ears pierced recently so I was worried they would get infected. He then spent extra care to be as gentle and slow as possible so that he doesn’t touch my ears. Can anyone ask for more?
The overall wait time at this salon is reasonable too. This is the only salon I trust in Toronto.

I’m obsessed with this salon came here before for blowout which was amazing and just got a haircut. Didn’t need to make an appointment just walked in and started right away. $ 40 for haircut with scalp massage during shampoo and nice neck and shoulder massage after. They use dry cutting which I think is much much better than wet cutting. Google the benefits. And cut off a ton of weight which I love. Feel so
Light and soft now. And he curled it for me with a straightener which is my favourite since it lasts way more days than curler :) very happy and very quick and excellent service

Went in for a colour and cut on a whim. Saw Steve (a Salon Director). He wasn’t super chatty (which I like) but was friendly and took the time to understand what I wanted. I didn’t have a picture, just an idea in my head. He worked pretty quickly but was meticulous — the cut and colour both turned out really well. Would definitely go back!

I’ve been going here for 6+ years and it is by far the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. No matter where else I try I always come back here. Western style stylists just don’t compare to the ones here. I have thick, curly, coarse hair and Tony is the best at knowing how to it. I’ve gotten a range of styles from bobs to long layers here and it always looks great. He takes me large, frizzy hair and makes it manageable and beautiful. And at $ 50 (the top stylist rate) which comes with a wash, head and shoulder massage, a cut and a style, the price a steal.
One thing to keep in mind with this salon is they are not the best with time management. Make sure you make an appointment beforehand because the wait can range from 10 minutes to 2 hours if you just walk in. Also their stylists are jumping between 2 – 3 clients most of the time so budget enough buffer time for post-​haircut events because chances are it won’t be a quick in-​and-​out experience. If you go here with the expectation that you’ll be here for at least a couple of hours, then you’ll enjoy it. It’s totally worth the time spent.
Also their English isn’t the best here so it’s best to come with a picture of what you’re looking for. It helps with the communication barrier a lot.

I went here on a whim because I wanted a new salon to try since I was in the area. And I wanted to see if the reviews were as they say they are… and sure enough, service was great!
They were very polite when I came in and they took me in regardless even if I didnt have an appointment. The person who dyed my hair did a good job considering it was exactly like the picture I showed her. To be honest I was a nervous wreck because I was thought she didn’t understand what I wanted because of the expressions she gave me. but she delivered anyway so am happy! She wasn’t very chatty though but I liked how serious she was tending to my hair. Plus, the person helping her gave me a massage (it was okay) and a scalp massage (recommend!).
The place is adequate size I guess from the the hustle of the staff going about their job as well as the customers coming in and out. But the area where they wash the hair is cramped in my opinion so I really hope they upgrade the equipment in the back.
Overall, its a good place to come in and I recommend going here to anyone with a price range in mind. Just make sure to get an exact quote from the front desk first.
And they only take Cash or Debit.

Perfect Experience.
When I arrived I was greeted so cheerfully by the staff. My coat and purse were put away for me and I was lead to a cutting station. After a mini consult with the hair dresser I was lead to the sink for an amazing hair wash, which included a head/​neck massage. So relaxing. When she brought me back to my chair she also gave me a shoulder massage!
I got booked with the creative director of the salon who was amazing (and only $ 45)! I showed him pictures and asked a lot of questions (I get very nervous with haircuts). He was patient and really took the time to understand the haircut I wanted.
I left completely satisfied ~~~

Amazing job by my stylist (Mariko) my hair was very damaged, dry and lacking shape. I showed her a pic and gave her ideas about how I wanted it — she did a perfect job (better than I expected the style to look and she spent plenty of time on it. The shampoo and massage was great and the price is the best part! Honestly don’t go to an overpriced franchise/“luxury” salon, you won’t get better than this!!!

Went inside randomly because i just needed a spontaneous haircut, since my hair felt so dry and i was unhappy. I’m usually picky with my hair… But this was a positive experience.
I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive, but with great service, friendly people, head/​shoulder/​neck massage and detailed hairdressers… What more can you ask for for 30 – 50 bucks? I live in brampton, but i’m definitely coming back to this place. Its worth the drive and parking.
I read the Unilocal comments below and I got TONY. I’m sorry the person who gave him a bad review, was upset. But MINE was a good experience. He’s very detailed oriented and nice.

Curly blow fanatic right here! I live in Liverpool the land of curly blows, I get one back home every week! I chanced this salon because it was next door to my hotel and I wasn’t disappointed!
The lady spent a good 15 minutes washing and massaging my hair before being transferred over to the chair for a shoulder massage!
I was worried that the language would be a barrier and I wouldn’t clearly be able to explain what I wanted but I needn’t have worried!
Lovely bouncy curly blow ready to hit the CN tower later!
Would definitely revisit!
No more expensive than any salon in England and no pressure to tip as I have previously found in some places in Canada!

Easily one of the best cuts/​styles I’ve received. As a performer I can be quite picky about my hair but they nailed it.
After asking about my hair, my roommate and some of our fellow cast mates went in. All have been extremely satisfied.
Nice place, great service, quality cut, and the best part is that it comes at a reasonable price.
Worth it.

People are nice and the massage is nice, but for your own sake, don’t let the manager dude (the dude with buzzed hair on the side and a knot) cut your hair. He will make you look like a tard.
I have had better experiences, be sure to ask for someone else if you don’t want to have a tard-​cut.
Otherwise, this place is pretty good.

Got my root touch up and hair cut here and am pretty happy with the results. I was running late and called the place to let them know. They were very accommodating of me. The staff there are also really friendly. Eiko was the one who cut my hair for me. She was meticulous and very detail oriented. Not very talkative though which I guess could be good or bad. I typically enjoy a bit more socialization while getting my hair cut but I was fine just browsing on my phone. The price here is not bad and they know how to deal with Asian hair very well. They also give you a shoulder massage too but I opted not to get that.
I love how all the staff here are Japanese. I’ll be back in a few months.
