Silly Goose Kids

I’ve been to this store many times as it’s walking distance to my house and I have lots of little people to buy for! The selection is great, the staff are wonderful, and they do an amazing job with wrapping gifts. It’s my go to place for unique children’s gifts.

LOVE LOVE this toy store. It’s a great size (not too overwhelming) and the staff are so helpful when it comes to finding age appropriate toys that are engaging and long lasting. I really like their customer service and feel really welcome and comfortable when visiting the store. There is a kids play area in the back –great for when you need to entertain the little ones while shopping.

great store with high quality toys and books. staff are very knowledgeable with different options and gift considerations, especially when you have no idea what you’re looking for. gift wrapping included, which is great when you’re on the run.

I had heard lots of great things about what a great neighbour this business is to this stretch of Danforth east, but not yet having any kids I had never personally set foot in the store.
Fast forward to this past weekend — I received a Silly Goose gift card as a baby shower gift and went to check it out yesterday. I wasn’t sure what to expect as their website doesn’t convey a lot of specific detail with respect to the types/​range of products they carry.
I must say I was blown away by the selection of high-​quality toys and baby gear they carry. To top it all off I had been expecting their prices to be on the high side given it’s a small boutique, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find their prices for the items I was looking for were actually less than the cheapest prices I had found online.
The staff, as noted by others, was friendly and not at all overbearing. Will definitely return!

How refreshing to have a toy store in the neighbourhood that carries intelligent, gender neutral, good quality toys. The staff is super friendly and gives great suggestions for gifts. It’s surprising how many appealing toys they manage to carry in a modest sized store. They have also created a very cool hub for children’s music classes and other events in the back of the store. Hope they prosper for many years to come.

As part of my East York neighbourhood tours, I always try to point out the anchors of the area. In my hood, Silly Goose has raised the bar for the kind of retail that used to dominate this area. The coolest toys & games in the city & always a great experience.

I made a rare appearance in this hood and had some time to kill. I wanted to buy a little present for my friend’s baby and popped in here to look around. I was warmly greeted and got a good vibe right away.
I knew my friend’s baby needed some new nighttime books because Goodnight Moon was getting a little stale. The lady helped me go through their book selection and gave me some options. It wasn’t busy so she dedicated her time to me. I ended up getting a book on trains which was only about ten bucks. She offered to gift wrap the present and it looked great.
They have a wide selection of toys for all ages. Lots of LEGO and a whole wall dedicated to Playmobil — a childhood favourite of mine. Awesome, friendly staff. Not sure how often I would make the trip out to the Danforth, but definitely recommended for all your baby/​kids needs if you’re in the area.

Great store. This place is really helping the neighbourhood come up scale a bit. I really like the store itself, the selection and the people that work there. I hope it will around for many years to come.

News was buzzing around my mom group about this new baby toy store on the east Danforth that was supposed to be really cool, so on an outing I decided to check it out with a mom friend.
Silly Goose Kids is smart for a couple of reasons:
1) Its run by people who have been in the kids retail business (and they’re mothers) for years so they get what consumers want and they know their products well.
2) They have a wide range of toys for a wide range of budgets and also carry feeding accessories and clothing.
3) They are thisclose to Cake Town Café (
) which means I, and many other moms will be traveling there many times dosed with scone-​y goodness and bleary eyed from lattes willing to buy anything that will make our screaming infants STFU for 15 minutes while we enjoy our sugar high.
And the best part: I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything despite letting my whiny sleep-​deprived 10 month old destroy the entire train set table and back a ride-​on car right into a display. You know, cause destroying a toy store is a nice break from chewing up all the books in the library. Parenting is all about providing variety!
