This dry cleaning depot is in a quiet neighbourhood near Yorkmills and Yonge. I am a frequent goer to this place that is tucked in the corner of the plaza. I recently started working in the financial district and needed to reinvigorate my closet. After a while, I realized that none of the dress pants fit me too well. I enjoy a slim casual style and the baggy dress pants I got from theory, Boss, and etc were horrid looking. I needed to get them tailored.
This Sketchley depot does alteration and they do it well. I took all my dress pants there and had them tailored to my fit. Now, all my pants are very well fitted, nice and slim. They’re also very comfortable, and this is important because I’ve had my share of bad memory of bad alteration and the resulting pain in the crotch area. I’ve also shorted all the hems of the pants to prevent them folding at the bottom. The owner of the depot that does the alteration didn’t cut the garments, but instead folded them inwards so that I can decide to go back to how it was if I wanted. They were done in 2 days and the price was very fair too.
I’ve not only taken my pants, but had my wife’s dresses altered, my Canali, Boss suits, and so forth. My wife dry cleans her Ugg boots and her Canada Goose jacket after the winter is over. I on the other hand regularly dry clean my suits and dress shirts. It comes back clean and well ironed. The dry cleaning takes 3 – 4 business days unless you choose express, which I believe you pay more. Each dress shirt costs approximately 2 dollars for dry cleaning.
Customer service is very nice too, and this is why it is my go to spot. Couple months back, I returned from a business trip and had to attend a wedding reception a day after. Unfortunately, the suit I was going to wear had a small tear and a stain from the trip. I took it to the depot immediately from the airport hoping that it can be fixed/​dry cleaned in a day, which to my knowledge, there is no option of. The owners were kind to immediately repair my suit and send off for an express.
This is a fabulous place to help you keep your closet fresh and do alteration to your need. It is right off the highway 401 so I usually drop by on a Saturday right after my gym activity and take care of any banking stuff at the TD that is right beside it. This place is definitely worthy of a 5 star.
