Slick Wax Bar

I’m not from Toronto, and I was on Unilocal looking for a wax bar. I was desperately in need of one. Slick had the best reviews, so I decided to try it out. A little hesitant at first because I hate the pain of Brazilians! Antoinette was very welcoming and friendly, she explained the waxes she was using and why. It literally took my 7 mins to get the full wax AND my upper lip included! I felt nothing!
Definitely referring this place to anyone who needs a painless Brazilian. Price was average $ 45 +tax and tip :)

All the other reviews are true. For anyone who’s had a wax pregnant, they know how the bad pain can be. I went to a specialised bar last time and still was in agony, n it put me off for months. based on reviews, I thought I’d see if could even get some done but wasn’t expecting to be able to tolerate a full Brazilian. The different waxes really help, but it is the skill of the owner which makes this the best wax bar I’ve ever gone too. Quickest too by far– despite how much work I needed, she had it done in 15 minutes, which is unheard of for me. She told me for normal maintenance waxes with regulars, she would usually be done in 5 minutes! Really understanding, and she tailors the wax depending on your pain. Definitely won’t bother going anywhere again. I would definitely recommend her to everyone but particularly people pregnant who are putting it off!

I called to make an appointment, but then realized they didn’t open for another hour… but within half hour i received a call back (without leaving a msg) she booked me in for the same day. Great customer service… U can relax here your in good hands.
Waxing certain areas can be painful… but at Slick the pain is so minimal it didn’t feel like anything was being removed.

The best Brazilian wax I’ve had in my life, by far. It was painless (yes, it really was), quick AND perfectly done. In and out in about ten minutes, which is unbelievable considering the last place I went to took an hour for exactly the same job. Antoanette was amazing. She used a number of different wax types which made the whole process as efficient as it could be and probably kept the pain levels down too. Definitely do not hesitate to go here.

There was a check in offer for 1 free wax but the lady did not honour it. I was actually looking forward to getting this free wax as I planned to go there all the way from North York. She said she did it «for fun» in the beginning and did not give it to me.

I walked in and was greeted by a very polite and beautiful woman. Antoanette — the owner of the business.
The décor and ambiance of this wax bar was soothing and welcoming.
She uses a lot of different types of waxes — she will show you the jar of different types of waxes all in one once you walk in. She explains very well why she uses different waxes and how it’s different from other spas that use only one jar.
It’s very clean and she doesn’t double dip.
If you want a pain free Brazilian or bikini wax, this is THE place to go.
I haven’t been more excited and happy to talk about a waxing experience; definitely recommending all the ladies out there to try it out.

Best wax ever and for those with low pain tolerance Antonette is amazing. I come from Milton to see her and it’s worth it

I recently became a Slick convert after my go-​to person left her profession at another salon. I have one thing to say; you need a wax? GET YOURSELF TO SLICK! I hadn’t been keeping up with my Brazilians so I was prepared to grit my teeth knowing I had brought this upon myself but I had clearly been overthinking it. She was so insanely fast and did it so you didn’t even have time to think about. Apparently she averages about 7 mins per Brazilian, and I believe it. However, do NOT mistake her efficiency for lack of quality, she definitely offers both. She used 3 different waxes on me (also got my lower legs done) and it was great. You can seriously feel how good the quality of her wax is. Honestly, I’ve been waxed at multiple places (including high end salons) but I will NEVER go anywhere else.
Do yourself (and skin) a favour and try them out.
TIP: They have a «Brazilian Wax Club» type thing. one time payment of $ 60 and then you get a percentage off of each Brazilian (I think 30% but don’t quote me on that)

I’ll keep this brief to spare you the details. But here’s what you need to know: Antoanette knows what she’s doing. She’s good, real good. I didn’t even know how not-​so-​good other waxing salons were until I experienced her magic. Also, they’re all so nice! Antoanette even patted me and held my hand at one point as I wiped my tears away. It should be noted that she did everything in her power to make it as painless as possible.
There is a student discount with a valid student card (on waxing services only, I believe). At the end, they gave me some Dove free samples. Professional, kind AND generous! They’ve made a loyal returner out of me.

I’m new to Toronto and was looking for a place to get my eyebrows done.
Every woman knows finding a new salon is the worst, but after a few attempts you can finally find one you like and I believe I have too.
The place is very clean and pretty. I did a walk-​in and was taken care of in less then 10 minutes. A mother-​daughter duo run the place are are extremely sweet, the mother did my eyebrows and with such perfection. She was in no rush and took her time, which I liked. Also the wax they used was quite different, it wasn’t the one you put on and then pull off with a strip but one that dries and can be pulled off like bubblegum (but NOT STICKY AT ALL).
Absolutely loved it! Will be going back to try the other services soon…

I entered this place on a whim for a last minute Brazilian and was pleasantly surprised. Amazing service, and professional, friendly staff and I would recommend this place to anyone.

I came to slick wax bar a few weeks ago, they were nice enough to see me at the very end of the day (30 minutes before closing) the owner is fantastic at what she does, let’s face it ladies and gents no one looks forward to these procedures :) but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by very friendly staff and the atmosphere is so calming and relaxing! The wax rooms are private rooms (very important for me, I don’t like being behind a curtain).
The owner did all my waxing and it was so quick! Her technique is amazing!
This is the place to go! I will be recommending Slick Wax Bar to all my friends and clients.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was just for my eyebrows, and the second time was more comprehensive (back and shoulders). The service here is exquisite. As a guy, it can be sometimes embarrassing to go for a waxing, but I felt very comfortable here, due to the friendliness, the cleanliness, and the expertise. I’m so glad to have found this place!

Came here for the first time today for an eyebrow wax. The lady who owns and runs the place is wonderfully friendly and chatty. She really knows what she’s doing and my brows now look amazing. She also gave me tips on keeping my brows looking great every day. The cost was $ 16.95 which I thought was reasonable. I know you can get your eyebrows waxed for half the price at a cheapo Asian salon but I don’t mind paying a little bit extra for the service and the experience of going to a nice salon. From now on, I won’t be going anywhere else.
