Spaces Self Storage

I had a fantastic experience using Spaces for the couple of months I was transitioning between renting and buying an apartment — the facility itself was immaculate and easily accessible 24/​7, and the customer service was friendly and efficient. Couldn’t ask for more. I also used the movers they recommended, Cargo Cabbie, and they were without doubt, the best company of the 4 I’ve used. Definitely would recommend and use again.

I had the worst day ever, but it was redeemed by the manager Armin at Spaces Toronto. I didn’t know that the DVP was closed so everything was slower in Toronto as a result. I had originally planned to arrive at 4 but arrived at 5.20. To my horror, they had closed at 5.
My truck was already full and I had also booked a helper. I could not imagine unloading the truck, and redoing the whole thing again on Monday. Needless to say, I was stressed. I called the number and Armin answered.
To my great relief, he agreed to come back and re-​open the office just for me. I was able to unload my truck — I didn’t have to reschedule my next week. DAY SAVED! In my opinion, this is CUSTOMER SERVICE in its truest form, where management will bend over backward to help a customer out.
As a side note, the facility is brand spanking new. Immaculately clean, newly painted and well lit, it has spacious freight elevators that can accommodate any of your sofas or bulky items. I recommend Spaces Toronto with NO reservation to anyone with storage needs in Toronto.

I really liked Spaces when they first opened. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to help you move stuff in with Free Truck Rental and 24 hour access and with only slightly higher than average pricing, they were a good choice.
For the past year it has been difficult to get access to my unit. Avenue Road Furniture has a couple of bays on the main floor near the loading dock and they are always there. More often than not they are taking one of the two access bays and their stuff is on skids around the elevators or in the offload area.
Spaces recently did away with their own insurance and put it on the unit holders. Not much to do there. Now they are raising prices another 8%so I’m looking around finding places closer to me for 20−40% cheaper. Time to move on.
The good: On site staff is very helpful, 24 hour access
The bad: Expensive! Difficult to gain access sometimes, long elevator waits (slowest elevators ever…
I think places like this take into account that people will put up with a lot to avoid the hassle of renting a truck and moving all of their stuff. Luckily, they’ve been sticking to the unit renters so hard that the decision to move has to be made.

The location cant be beat, and has 24 hour access. Very easy to zip in and out.
The garage bay can be a bit hectic, but 2 uhauls can fit side by side in there no trouble.
There are no garbage bins around, but that is probably to prevent people from dumping stuff.
2 massive elevators to use, and 5 floors worth of space.
We have a 5×10, and that stores a fair bit of our stuff when we cut 2 apartments down to one.

Great service, fantastic staff. The building is so clean and modern and everyone is really friendly!
