Small little kiosk located under the escalators. I haven’t tried much from here but I always go for the mochi balls. Filled with red bean or black sesame, these soft melt-​in-​your-​mouth desserts are the reason I visit this mall. Decently priced at 2 for 1.80. I can see why these are a best seller. The egg tarts here are 1.00 each but baked the way I like — flaky crust with sweet egg filling. The baked goods are shipped in so there’s limited stock and they run out quickly!
Thanks to the previous review, I now know where else I can get these amazing treats!

Splendid Bakery is located inside Splendid China Mall, I think that’s the reason it got its English business name.
The fact is Splendid Bakery does not bake their goods on site… as it is just a little store that sells the products from Aroma Bakery
or Fragrant Bakery
.
Same products, same prices… but lacking that fresh out of oven feel. and oh the smell of freshly baked goods!
The pastries they carries are more traditional Chinese pastries e.g. winter melon cake, egg tart which they are famous for.
They also have tea or coffee for $ 1, which is necessary to make a complete afternoon tea break experience!
