I am an experienced intellectual property /licensing lawyer who deals with technology transfer in the area of agricultural biotechnology. More particularly I deal with collaboration and licensing agreements concerning GMO /GE, conventionally bred field crops and stone fruits. Previously I was with the Federal Department of Justice (Canada) and was the Canadian legal delegate on behalf of Agriculture Canada to the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization (UN FAO — Rome). There I dealt with the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. I am an assistant professor at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Dept. of Law & Business, Ryerson University. Before my legal career I was a combat arms officer in the Royal Canadian Armour Corp. and was on exchange to West Point, USMA.
