Excellent staff. Excellent merchandise. An item was out of stock that I was looking for. They called right away when it came in and held it for me. Classic record shop from the 80’s. Loved it.

I thought all the good FTR’s in Toronto were gone! Well tickle me surprised… or Sunrised!!!(pause for applause and laugh break). Corny jokes aside, I was hear a little over a week ago on Record Store Day, for a special FREE performance put on by the Barenaked Ladies(yes that Canadian Band). Walking past this location just a couple blocks north of Yonge & Dundas, you’d dismiss it as a tiny shop based on its small store front — but this place is HUGE. It seems to stretch on for miles, with high ceilings lined with DVD’s, CD’s and more recently Records! The size is why this location is able to support live performances with crowds of up to(what looked like) 100 – 200 people! Yes for a long time, records were considered an archaic technology that had gone the way of the Dodo bird. But as the hipsters have made it so, everything old is cool again and with that records have made a HUGE comback — however, for some obscure reason you’re now paying more for a record than you would a CD. If you’re a record person, I’d recommend you check this location out, they’ve got an endless collection of classics for sale and recently pressed albums by todays hottest artists. Last note, the store doesn’t end on the main floor, there is a specail second floor with even more retail space above where the BNL did an FREE autograph signing immediately following. Cool store, great music, great selection, good vibes!
