Our store was opened by my father on a quiet street. Now, 30 years later, my husband and I have taken it over. Currently the mount pleasant village is a thriving area with bistros, antique shops, and cafes. Born and raised in Toronto, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy for high school. I learnt Italian and fell in love with the country. I eventually met my husband, Stefano and we lived together in Italy for a few years. My father, Mike Guluk wanted to pass on his business to someone in the family, so we packed up and moved back to Toronto. Since then, Stefano and I have modernized the business and continue to use my father’s philosophy and unique approach to selling window coverings.
