This location throws me off. It seemed oddly located given that a LCBO is just west of Yonge on Dundas, and yet there is really nothing to work with for booze going north up to College or south down to Queen St. The one thing I can appreciate about this versus a lot of Beer Stores is that you do have the ability of walking around and browsing the selection as opposed to ordering off a wall of labels to some guy at a counter… And I get it, the place is a Beer Store«Express», so I can see that it does fill one void that the LCBO next door can’t provide in the sense of ordering 24 cases of brand name beer and an arguably larger variety of 6 packs of bottled beer. On the flip side(and where my problem lays), is that the LCBO next door does have some of the best tall boy variety I’ve ever seen, so when stopping into this Beer Store Express I was astonished by the minimal selection of 473ml craft brewed or 500ml imported brands. Had this mediocre booze dispensary been located in College Park or somewhere that is not so booze-ready, it would’ve made this review a 3 stars as opposed to 2 stars. But eventhough its may be cool for some that you can now buy larger proportions of beer in the Dundas area, this place seems redundant and 2 stars it shall receive.

Boy what a relief this store is. The beer store close to where I live stopped carrying some of the Unibrue stuff that I cherish and I had to shlep my way across to some not very nice neighborhoods to get the object of my desire(la fin du monde, maudite) The location is one of the best for the beer store I have seen for people without cars, right next to the entrance/exit from the Dundas station so one can just hop in and out for a quick purchase. Also of note is this is not a recycle location(read it doesn’t stink like many other Beer Stores that recycle are known for). The beer selection is decent and covers all sort of beer styles. The place is new so has that clean, inviting feel that other Beer stores lack. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. The place needs some issues to be ironed out as my Amex wouldn’t go through somehow. One of the better beer stores in my book.

This Beer Store is located just underneath Yonge Dundas Square! How convenient that is! Opens till 10 pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday till 6 pm, great to pick up a six pack for any last minute house party or gathering. Not only it carries most of the beers from the big Commercial breweries, there are a great selections of Imports and beers from Canadian and local breweries: Flying Monkey, Waterloo, Unibroue, Cracked Canoe and Black Oak just to name a few! Staffs are all really helpful and friendly! Always ready to answer any questions! I just love the Self Served format so I can just look around and see what they have and read all the labels too… Most of the beers on the shelf though are in 6 pack format, if you need a 12÷24÷48 packs you have to ask the staffs to get them for you at the back!
