Opened in 1981 by Dr. Stephen Gurza, offers a range of specialized skills to deal with a number of problems:

When it comes to braces in particular, The Brace Place offers many options. Invisalign invisible braces, standard metal braces, nickel-​free titanium, ceramic, clear and tooth-​coloured braces are all available. The Brace Place is happy to offer patient consulting in order to help make the best decision possible.

History

Established in 1981.

The emphasis on the comfort of his clients stems directly from Dr. Gurza’s passion for his work and his community. Our 24-​hours, seven days a week emergency service ensures that our patients are never far from assistance when they need it. Seeing the improved self-​esteem and perception that comes with successful treatment remains a joy for the doctor, who was born, raised, and educated in Toronto and continues to make the city his home. He has been honoured to participate over many years in dental education when he was a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He readily participates in the Toronto community, providing orthodontic and oral care information at local public and private schools and contributing to oral care programs for the less fortunate in our community. Dr. Gurza helps make sure that Toronto keeps its best face forward every day.

Business Owner

Dr. Stephen C. Gurza founded The Brace Placeover 25 years ago and has been successfully serving the communitites of Scarborough, Thornhill, and Toronto ever since. He is also a clinical demonstrator in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.

Background & Education

Dr. Gurza completed his dental degree at the University of Toronto in 1978. He was awarded the Alpha Omega Undergraduate Scholarship Award and the Pro Liberis Orthodontic Award for excellence in academic and clinical achievements. In recognition for outstanding academic performance, he was elected to the honour dental society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Gurza went on to attend the graduate program at the University of Toronto and completed his specialty orthodontic degree in 1981.
