If you have a penchant towards American paraphernalia from the 40s or discarded Freemason objects, The Chief Salvage Co. shop should be bookmarked on your home décor shopping list.
I discovered this place by accident with a friend and we were so charmed by the nifty items inside. It’s a feast for your eyes as they land on something that’s odd or quirky, but unique and nostalgic.
While there’s a lot of stuff, nothing seems to be cluttered. It’s all well displayed in fun ways and even if you might not collect this type of stuff, you still want them. Like the complete figurine set of American presidents. I don’t need them but I kind of want them, because it’s one of the coolest things I’ve seen.
You mostly find American vintage collectibles, but there’s a few pieces that are pure Canadiana, and there’s a wide range of what you can find. All of them are discarded objects that used to be found in medical offices, schools, and even churches. These make a really neat gift to someone who appreciates our beautiful yet quirky past.
