The Devil’s Martini

I am definitely a big fun of this club!
The location is kind of hard to find, it seems like it’s hidden somewhere.
Usually the line up is not too long. And even if it is it does not take too long to get in.
The crowd is not bad, just like usual clubs.
What I love the most is the music. I have been to many many clubs but I like Devil’s Martini’s music the best. They basically play everything. Most clubs say that, but you go and see that the music is not as good as they promised. They basically play songs that can promise good time and a lot of dancing for sure. Lots of good mixes, Top 40, a bit of latin style songs too. Basically everything. I would definitely suggest this club to everyone!

We were drunk. It was Friday. What better time to visit Devil’s Martini, the hot spot of yesteryear? Or harkening back to site of some nights out in my twenties. Sigh…
At least I didn’t have to pay to get in. Phew!

Hi, 2004 called. The Miami South Beach look is OUT. It’s white. ALL white in here. Beach umbrellas. They’ve incorporated some branches here and there. Some loungey stuff as well. It looks nice, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not original.
905 still thinks this is the place to be. Ladies, if you are looking for your Indian lover with his shirt half open, he is here.
THE GOODS
the gin and tonic was ok. But let’s dance to Rhianna’s «We Found Love in A Hopeless Place.» Because that would be the appropriate theme song for this joint.

More Devil’s than Martini. We were having fun with it so we had fun. For 10 minutes. Then we left! Nope, we are not in our twenties anymore, that’s for sure.
But go to Gusto 101. Much more hip and happening with the times!

Haha on va encore me dire que je suis trop vieux et que je n’apprécie pas les boîtes de nuit à leur juste valeur. Si vous n’avez jamais testé les boites canadiennes c’est une expérience à faire. Vous saurez définitivement ce que veut dire mini jupe au Canada.
En tant que français je pense que le look arboré ici est ultra vulgaire quand à l’attitude je né m’attarderais pas. Entre filles allumeuses et quéqué se prenant pour les rois de la boîte…
Le Devil Martini a quand même le mérite d’être très bien agencé avec 3 bars sur 2 niveaux, des danseuses de pole dance pour ravir la gente masculine (ou féminine) et une sono d’une très bonne qualité.
A donc faire en groupe pour évacuer le stress d’une longue semaine de taf mais vraiment occasionellement.

de l’extérieur c’est limite glauque, il faut entrer par l’arrière de la boîte dans une petite ruelle! Mais à l’intérieur c’est une toute autre ambiance! la boîte est entièrement blanche, les serveuses habillées en blanc, des danseuses en petite tenue, tout y est pour mettre l’ambiance, et ça marche!
La musique est juste super, donc l’ambiance est toujours présente!
4 bars, 2 tables de pig pong, un carré VIP, des spots pour danser c’est juste une très bonne boîte dans laquelle j’ai passé une très bonne nuit!
Ps: le coca est gratuit mais les boissons sont très cheres

I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time I went I hated it and vowed that I would never go back. I went for a friends b’day and we did bottle service. It was a Friday night, the crowd was v young, I kind of felt like a teacher at a high school disco, there to monitor the students so they did not get up to anything dirty.
The second time I went (and most recent) was for a friends leaving party, there was a large group of us and again we did bottle service, so no cover charge on the door and you get a seated area. This time we were sitting behind the DJ booth.
There was professional dancers there this time strutting around the stage/​poles. The crowd this night was older and from my vague recollection of the night the music was pop-​tastic but with some older songs thrown in and Bön-​jovi. The music reminded me of a lot of student nights I went to when I was at University, but I enjoyed it.
Warning — if it is icey/​snowing be prepared to risk life and limb to get in the front door. That Alley is a death trap, my friend and I had much amusement watching girls walk out of the club, the alley was almost like an ice rink!
Do triple check prices of bottle service before you go, we were advised $ 140 and when we got there we were told it was $ 210 — for a bottle of vodka. We refused to pay that and there was some haggling with the server.
As to the décor, it’s white!
Will I go again? Probably and with a decent sized crowd of people, I think it is the only way!

This place is hilarious. I came for a large b-​day party. My first impression was made when I texted my friend (who was already inside) to see what the scene was like and she wrote back one word: «young.» That pretty much sums it up. Friday’s are cheap –$ 5 cover with guestlist or $ 10 otherwise, $ 5 mixed drinks, and I think $ 4 beers or something. So it is *that* kind of crowd — fake id’s aplenty. But once you settle in and just resign yourself to feeling old, it IS pretty funny watching teenage boys try to leap from one riser to another, and they have some pretty interesting/​bold dance moves too. Oh, did I mention there are poles on the dance floor for those who feel so inclined? The DJ was okay, but completely random. Top 40, house, reggae, 80’s, 90’s pop… I liked that he was mixing it up, but it wasn’t really good mashups, but rather playing 2 songs simultaneously in and out. Gets annoying when you really like ONE of them, but not the other… Girl Talk he ain’t.
However, it could’ve been much, much worse. I don’t know if it’s because I was in a large group, or am too old, but there were no inappropriate creepers and we could dance in peace — and with space! The place is huge and even though it was pretty full, you were never in that situation of feeling somebody else’s sweat as you try to make it to the bar (unless you wanted to). The bathrooms are also really spacious and relatively well-​maintained, without those attendants that you awkwardly feel like you have to tip when they squirt you some hand soap. The space is airy with a white on white theme, massive disco balls, and flatscreens playing fashion shows in the background. It gets hot, but there are fans spread out around the place. I also liked the fact that you don’t have to get super decked out to come here. The crowd was pretty mixed — some people in jeans/​flats, others in dresses/​heels.
I wouldn’t be back unless someone else made me, but there are worse places to get your dance on in this ‘hood.

Came here for a bachelorette. It was a Saturday so as usual downtown was pretty busy with the avid club goers and such.
This place the sketchiest alley way/​entrance. You park and go through an alley way to get to the main door. What. The. Haywire?
I wasn’t happy about this, only because when you buy a pair of satin grey booties, knowing that it only has a few good wears, you don’t want to walk around a pathway that looks like it’s been under construction. Not to mention it’s scary.
It so happens that our group was the third bachelorette here. If you are assuming since the place is primarily 25+ the crowd will be mature? Negative. Creepers and stalkers A-​PLENTY!
The bouncer and one of the security guys was disgustingly sexy, It helped. a lot.
They did a nice job with the place itself — all white everything. We were right behind the DJ booth so with 3 bottles and about 30 girls, there was attention from way too many weirdo’s.
Halfway through the night I got pretty tipsy and remember a 45 years old asking my name, marital status and shyly telling me I was very pretty. Today (thank you face book) pictures and confirmations revealed that apparently, I said thank you very gracefully and proceeded to teach him how to tap dance.
I must’ve been an elf sometime in my life.
All in all, not a bad place for a low key (most of the girls were in tank tops and shorts) drinking & dancing night for the ladies. The music is proper. It has a hilarious mix of polka (?), Canadian Indy, twist (Face book tells me I had way too much dancing to and knew all the lyrics to «twist and shout».) and standard pop, hip hop.
Fun fact: Even drunk, I represent my love for The Beatles with sassy attitude.

Wow, now I am really a fan. Went there last weekend and there was no line. No line at all. The club has nice new design (all white) and it is not that crazy crowded as before. You can actually move and dance now! We got a booth and the manager was so nice and friendly, we were offered free refills of juices and everyone was very nice. Best part — the music was amazing good… Each song was great and there was no song I wanted to sit down as I have experienced in many other clubs (even in my favorite Easy). Now I start thinking — should I change my favorite club location??? (The entrance was only $ 5 on Friday). But yes, again so many girls. Bachelorette parties. also some mean girls who wanted to take our table telling security they have the whole floor with 2 tables, haha. Good thing that the manager came and get rid of the nasty girls :)

I love this place, it is one of the few clubs in Toronto where you see more women than man. This is due to all the bachelorette parties that are happening there.
The place is huge and if you come early there is plenty of room. However, there is one problem with the layout — it is a made in a shape of a huge loft with restrooms being all the way at the end. So when it gets crowded — first of all people always bump into you, secondly it take like 10 min to get to a restroom. But if you were there around 10, there is a good chance you would leave with someone by the time it gets crowded.
Bottom line, one of my favorite clubs of all time!

I have been to Devil’s Martini a few time for birthday parties and fun nights out and it is a great place.
The martini menu is an endless list of different martinis — fruity, liquor, citrus, chocolate, YOU NAME IT!
The bar is spacious so there is plenty of room to hit the floor to dance it up or to lounge around with friends, soaking up drinks at the tables. As well, the bar is pumped up with a great music selection with tons of funky DJs spinning their tunes.
And if you are looking for a slightly older crowd (25+), it offers this type of crowd.
