History
Established in 2011.
Studio Director, Beatrix Montanile, discovered the therapeutic benefits of inversion therapy while suspending from ropes during a visit to India in 2008. Having suffered from chronic back-pain almost all of her life due to injuries from falling off a horse at the age of 12, she was impressed with how much better she felt after having suspended only a few times! Upon her return to Canada she continued to explore the many ways that yoga poses and other movement modalities could be advanced with the aid of a more comfortable nylon suspension sling. In 2010, she developed and launched the first Suspension Yoga classes ever to be offered in Canada. In 2011, the inspiration came to her to establish a base where more people could enjoy learning Suspension Yoga and where instructors could train to teach this new methodology so that even more people could benefit.
On September 17th 2011, The Flying Yogi was born!
