Rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. The girl making the drink looked me dead in the eyes the whole time like she was going to throw a punch or pull me by the hair. just straight angry… It made me so uncomfortable standing there waiting for her to finish making it. She started to pump vanilla into my drink and when I asked her«sorry, is that sugar-free vanilla» she barked at me NO!!! rolled her eyes and grabbed another cup… Bitch.

I found the staff at this location rude & they also overcharged me for my drink. If you must go to second cup, go to the location by church and wellsley. Amazing service there!

I’ve been going to this Second Cup for about a month now. Before I started my new job downtown I didn’t drink coffee and never really felt the urge to stop and pick up one on my way to wherever I was going. I became hooked on their Irish Cream coffee with a little bit of skim milk and 1 sweetener. What I enjoy about second cup is you make you own coffee by taking it to the drink station and pouring the amount of milk/cream you want. Not everyone take it the same so why not give the people the power. They have that down and do it right. I also decided to buy of of their reusable cups to help save the environment. It wasn’t at all expensive and now when I go for my coffee I pay less because it’s considered a refill in their eyes. The staff is friendly, very welcoming, know their regulars but do not make the non regulars feel uncomfortable. Its a very busy place in the morning and some times the lines are too long and I have to pass. As for cost they are not much more than your Timmies so for quality it’s worth it.

The friendly staff, convenient location and comfortable surroundings helped to ease the disappointment of the usual, average coffee fair at this chain of Canadian coffee shops.

This Second Cup has some nice staff but it feels extremely cramped, is a little dirty and doesn’t have the seating room many of the other ones in town do. Get a coffee to go and don’t stick around.

Go in the doors at 60 Bloor St. West and down the escalator and you’ll arrive at this little Second Cup location. The morning rush is dominated by the fashionable people that work in Yorkville. They have a little bar with high stools facing the window to watch the people bustling by the halls of this underground city, as well as a bunch of seating at tiny two person tables(benches on one side, chairs on the other). There isn’t really anywhere quiet and out of the way to work in this location and to use the washrooms you need to get the key from behind the counter(comes on a little spoon.) The girls that work here aren’t overly friendly but while I was sipping my coffee I heard them perk up for a few regulars. The black coffee I threw back was delicious. I also ate a banana nut muffin(I know, I know, muffins are just an excuse to eat cake before noon… but I was in a rush!) It was tasty, but nothing special. Anyway, chances are you won’t drop into this location unless you work in the area so there’s probably no point in me even reviewing this place, but there you have it folks, another standard Second Cup.

The coffee shop is attached to Park Hyatt– that’s a plus. But the coffee itself is very mediocre. I have a double espresso every morning and have gone to Second Cup the past two mornings… Not very good. Starbucks is better than this, and I really hate to say that about any coffee shop.

So I had my first cup at the hotel and decided to go for a second cup at Second Cup since it was just down the street. The name seemed to fit my craving, so why not? Coffee was alright… Nothing too special, but it definitely hit the spot and satisfied my caffeine itch.
