Why can’t you pronounce things correctly??? It drives me nuts!

What’s the matter, lady? Didn’t have your Wheaties that morning? Just come from donating a pint of blood? Riding the Toronto subway is depressing enough without hearing this hack’s anemic low-​energy prerecorded announcements.
I don’t need a perky cheerleader to announce the stops but at least get a real voice actor who doesn’t make me feel like slashing my wrists every time I approach a station.

I’ll give her this — you can tell what she’s saying. It drives me nuts that she mispronounces so many street and station names, though. When I go by Glencairn, it makes me froth at the mouth that she pronounces it Glen-​cair-​un.
