Not only does Tiffinday serve up some amazingly delicious food, but it’s completely vegan, and delivered directly to you! Essentially, it’s like this: Tiffinday — Hey Kevin, I was thinking about cooking some delicious food Kevin — Yeah, and… Tiffinday — And then delivering it to you directly around lunch time. Kevin — …YOUAREMYGOD! In case I’m not making this clear enough: (Good Food + Delivery) — — — — — — — — — — = Happy Belly *(Laziness [Squared]) Week I’m not great with math, but I’m pretty sure that’s the equation(Note: I really wanted to add the«2» for squared, but it won’t let me). So I’m sitting there, at work, working away, and BOOM! there’s my lunch, sitting right next to me. It’s so easy too, just create an account and select the food you want for the week/month, pay for it online, then try and contain your excitement for the tastiness headed your way. They mostly deliver to the downtown core, so make sure you check the delivery zone before ordering. Take note every-other-restaurant, this is how food is meant to be enjoyed.

3.5 or 4. FOOD: yum! a) Scrumptious, b) Stunning, c) Radiant. I ordered the chick pea curry and fragrant basmati rice. Hit the spot. But maybe that was because I was so hungry by the time the food arrived(lunch hour here was early). I also ordered the Pinwheels. Won’t be doing that again — they just weren’t for me. But the chick pea curry and rice… were so tasty, and divine! TIME: they tried to deliver early, but ended up delivering around the tail end of my lunch break. I wanted to eat the whole meal, but really ate but a fraction during lunch. Had to wait 2.5 hours later to finish eating the meal. FOODIE: I’m happy to know that Seema Pabari(the owner I think) is a foodie. This means her standards will usually be good, for us fellow foodies. PRICES: Seem fair, if not a little $$. I usually spend the most amt for dinner, lunch, and then breakfast — in that order. ECO: All Tiffin containers and thermal bags are re-used. * Cutlery is not included. Hopefully, you’ll have access to some yourself. tip: Orders over $ 15. aren’t charged the $ 5 delivery. Hmm — would the driver normally be tipped? I didn’t run into the driver today, but wonder if I should leave a tip around next time?(where does the $ 5 normally go, towards the driver or ?) CONVENIENCE: yes and no. It’s delivered straight to you, however, it would suck if you were hungry and waiting for 30+ min. of your limited lunch break, only to in the end have 10 min to sckorf it down. I do like that the containers *aren’t* made of styrofoam, heh heh… They’ll be picking the tiffin containers and thermal bag back from me come Monday.

A work colleague came across a Globe and Mail article about tiffinday, a new delivery service offering traditional Indian vegetarian food. The fact that the food was delivered hot and in «tiffins»(google it) is was what truly reeled us in. We put in a bulk order… and my goodness! It was absolutely delicious! The portions were perfectly sized, a bit on the spicy side(so indicate your spice level when ordering), but really hit the spot(the empty, cleaned out tiffins can attest to that). tiffinday only deliver for lunch(mostly in the downtown core, I believe), and I think you’d have to order a day in advance. Plus, they return the next day to pick up the empty tiffins(something about a sustainable business model). But the menu changes daily, and the delectable vegan fare will definitely make you calling back for more.
