Tonic Studio and Spa

Okay so let me start by telling you that I had a 3^rd ear piercing that was in for 3 months and 1 week and I’ve had so many infections and soo many tries to remove it but I’ve had MANNNYYY failed attempts. I went in one day and booked an appointment and the day of, I went in mentally prepared for some goo, blood, and healing with alcohol and salt soaks. I sat on the chair and LITERALLY within 5 mins I was done. She put glives on and took it out so easily and replaced the new earring in my ear. It was sooo convenient, simple, and quick. The customer service there was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I’ll definitely be going there in the future.

I have been a regular customer at this salon now for a year and a half, give or take.
I would like to point out that I have tried all the other salons at the Scarborough Town Center, some were O.K., and others not so great.
I would like to mention that I am in my early twenties, I am asian, and therefore have naturally medium to dark slightly wavy hair.
I am always trying to keep my hair looking stylish, fresh, and most of all looking healthy.
The only reason why I come back to this salon, is purely for the stylist, Linda.
The following are the reasons as to why I would recommend Linda :
— She has great hair, to me a stylist’s hair is a reflection of her, and her work.
— She is young and knows whats in.
— Very easy to get along with.
— Does not rush the job.
The following are the types of service I have experienced:
— Hair Cuts: Amazing.
— Ombré Hair: Blended very well.
— Toner: Of course, when your not a natural blonde, your hair over time might start to get brassy. So, I had my ombré toned and revamped. The end results were terrific, and did not leave my tips dry.
–Liquid Keratain: I had liquid Keratin applied to the middle down to the ends of my hair. Definitely smoothed out my hair and made it straighter. Had this done since May, and it is still lasting. Again, my hair is slightly wavy, f.y.i. This has definitely has stopped me from flat ironing my hair.
Various Hair Treatments: Have definitely helped my hair, with the regular cuts, to now where my hair is healthy enough that I no longer need these treatments in my opinion.
The only negative thing I can say about this salon, is that the ambiance of the salon is mediocre. Although, I know the salon had just recently renovated, still seems lacking.

Its unfortunate that people have had a bad experience. This was before one of the BEST salons i have ever been too.
I walked in with (what the stylist called «brassy bush» haha) an ombré that had faded and dead ends. I asked for highlights and she did an amazing job, i walked out happy with incredible hair!
My second experience was even better, i requested the same stylist and asked if she could bring my brown hair/​highlights to a platinum blonde. The manager treated me with incredible respect and checked on my hair every so often to see if it was okay during the bleaching process. He even lowered the price because im a repeat customer and gave me a free treatment. Not only did the stylist bring me to a blonde, i left with EXACTLY what I had wanted. She even said to call if I had any concerns/​wanted to come in for root touch ups.
Again, its unfortunate people have had bad experiences but they have certainly stepped up to the plate when it comes to customer care. I have already recommended this salon/​stylist to all my friends and will be returning :).

I went here looking to improve my angled bob I guess you would call it and without much talking at all walked out with a cute, edgy cut that olny cost me $ 45.20 + tip. I had a Jr stylist do my hair so thats why it was so cheap because the prices went up to 100+ for a freaking hair cut because you had some «master» snip at it for a little. They offer a wide range of spa services for a hair salon but did not try any of them. Its very trendy for the Town center, and very expensive, but definaltiy worth it. My olny complaint is that I wasent told until the end when I was about to pay that their debt machine had been down, and they had the guy in trying to fix it, but failed too, I would have just gotten cash before I sat down, and It wouldnt have left me running across the mall to the bank, not a huge deal but a bit of a pain in the ass.
