Tony Chaar Salon

Ayla gives the best facial in Toronto! She has her own space in the Tony Chaar salon. I moved here from New York two years ago and found her and my skin has never looked better. Not only does she do my regular facials– She had my skin looking amazing at my wedding this past June. Her microdermabrasion is unbelievable (I try to do every few times.) thanks Ayla!

If you need a bikini wax this is the place to go.
After my last experience I swore I would never subject my body (or sanity) to such a painful process, but on a strong recommendation before a weekend in Miami I booked an appointment.
Ayla, who I think recently moved here from another location on Hazelton, is a saviour. Did you know that you can actually enjoy having a bikini wax? Throughout the entire appointment Ayla was funny, kind, and an absolute joy to be around. Although — and unfortunately — getting a brazillian will never be painless, I didn’t leave the appointment with post-​tramatic stress and more importantly, didn’t experience any irritation or breakouts (sorry for the TMI).
The place itself is extremely clean. I find that some higher-​end salons can be stuffy and staffed with rude employees, but everyone I encountered (including the owner, John, who has the cutest American Eskimo puppy) was extremely welcoming. While I can’t vouch for the salon’s services I will probably take advantage of them in the near future, and I definitely look forward to my next appointment.

I came here with a deal voucher, which is always a true test of service because it quickly sets apart the businesses who offer lower-​tier service to anyone not paying full price. The location is really great and the salon itself is quite small.
The owner’s puppy was playing on the floor, so that kept me amused while I waited for my appointment, which came 10 minutes late. I didn’t mind so much, since the stylist seemed to took his time for a reason — namely that he wanted clients to feel they received good service.
There are a few awkward points here. I had to ask where to put my bags down and the stylist chair is not very comfortable to sit in. I would consider coming back here for something special, but there isn’t something unique that sets this salon above and beyond the others in this neighbourhood.
