I had a mixed experience with Tundra music. I had experiences similar to other reviewers with no one answering the phones and delays in communication, slow shipping and poor communication with their customer. On the +side, the price for the guitar was competitive and the setup was perfect.

TM seem to know what’s kind of desirable in the market, whether vintage stuff or Fender and Gibson custom shop reissues. The prices seem to be comparatively stratospheric(no pun…) for example a Fender Japan 1970 reissue natural ash Stratocaster was around $ 1800. And about a ten-year-old Gibson R959 Les Paul reissue with a just OK(not amazing) flame sunburst top on it and extensive fret wear was I think somewhere around 5 grand or maybe more? I was stunned how off that seemed. I respectfully feel some of these prices gotta be for suckers, or else somebody is dreaming. They certainly do bat out past the fence. Check out the instruments there, sure, but also research your prices well and look around and don’t get ‘gamed’ by offering a voluntary price that is under their high asking price but is still too high. I do like to peek in there occasionally, and don’t mind chatting with the guys.

Horrible customer service at the Whitby store… Owner promises but Never return calls. Store is always a mess. Quote shocking considering the owner thinks he’s pretty special but that’s as far as it goes. Waited 6 mths for an order & never told the price was substantially increased until went to pick up guitar. Unless you’re spending big, big bucks owner can’t be bothered with you. Not even to say hello when you walk into the store. We’ve never experienced such terrible customer service! Highly recommend going anywhere else!

I inquired about a price on an American Standard Stratocaster at their store, and they got back to me right away. The matched a price I was given elsewhere and even dug deeper to save me some coin. They were really helpful on the phone and by email, and shipped my guitar to Montréal within the week(after doing a full setup). Very satisfied, and would buy another guitar from them in a flash.

Where do I begin… Never answer their phone Never return VM or emails Ordered item waited for 2 months for delivery after sales guy suggested 1 week Disorganized shop with poor selection. I have purchased thousands of $ of music gear over the years but never have I had such a poor customer service experience. With all of the world class shops in the city I strongly advise avoiding Tundra at all cost!
