Let me start by saying that my family really enjoyed the taste of the burgers… however they are small… and crazy expensive! We are a family of 5, two teenagers and a 6 year old and we each ordered a burger and fries… no alcohol just iced tea and the bill was $ 100 with tip! We won’t be back!

If you want a good burger, AVOID. This is literally a pimped up mcdonalds. The buns are severely fake. The meat is absolutely tasteless and you don’t feel the same grilled meat taste as with Hero Burger. I was asked if I wanted cheese and I was given the options. I then asked for the white cheddar and was told that is $ 1.30 extra. Quite a lot for a transparent piece of cheese. Anyway, I didn’t want to pay, so I settled for the regular American cheese. Big mistake. This is the same plastic sad excuse for cheese they put on mcdonalds. The whole burger was really bad and I ended up throwing 2/3rds of it away. I also ordered a poutine with the Yukon Gold Fries. The poutine was also pretty bad. Very cheap on the cheese curds, the gravy was too thick and strange and the fries were not nice at all. They just have a slightly nicer presentation than mcdonalds which is why it seems popular. I spent $ 17 and threw most of it in the garbage.

This review is for their fast food meal route(towards the back of the restaurant). So here’s the thing — we came here around 9:40PM on a Wednesday evening right after a Blue Jays game over the summer(it’s about a 5 minute walk from the Rogers Centre, and also within walking distance from the entertainment district). The place wasn’t busy, there was no lineup(yet), and our stomachs were begging for sustenance. Because they weren’t busy, we received our order right away, piping hot, crispy, and fresh(I ordered onion rings($ 3.50) and their Signature ‘Our Burger’(around $ 9.50)). We grabbed a clean table and actually really enjoyed our meal. The verdict? Pretty good! It isn’t the best burger I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t terrible either. I can understand the bad reviews below — our visit time occurred during off-peak, weeknight hours, where they could potentially put more effort into making our food. Regardless, the burger was hot and fresh, and the onion rings were super unique and different from anything we’ve had before — super, extremely thin, very crispy, and seasoned quite well(think of Hickory Sticks as onion rings, and that’s pretty much what it is). Prices were average to high for a gourmet burger joint. I paid around $ 17.00 for my burger and onion rings(no drink).

Went to Walburger for a new experience. Was in the mood for a good burger. Nice place, décor In green. Full bar. Lots of tables and tv screens. Nice ambience. Close to the entertainment district. Unfortunately the burger fell short of what I expected. I had to send it back as it was not warm. The onion rings were greasy and the fries where good. I got a new burger it was better. Management was nice and did not charge me for my fries. Would I go back? Not worth the drive from Richmond Hill. Maybe if they added more burgers to their menu and I was in the area I may give them a second try.

So disappointed. If you’re a NKOTB fan girl or fan of the Wahlburger show, then check it out but be prepared for lacklustre food and mediocre service. My out of town sister wanted to see this place since she’s what I’ve described above haha. And I knew the minute we walked in, she wasn’t the only out of towner. This place evokes the same atmosphere as Hard Rock Café or Niagara Falls. I wouldn’t be surprised if no locals eat here. We were greeted at the door and explained the two different routes we could take: full, sit down service or head to the back for fast food. We chose to sit down and take in the whole experience. It took forever to get our drink orders in. There were probably 2 – 3 servers working and maybe 5 – 6 tables with customers but we waited really long just for the initial order. We watched customers arrive and head to back, order and head up stairs with food before we got served. Once we did order, we found the portions small and the food mediocre. They serve the food in baskets and provide metal utensils which I found odd. The burger itself is dry and nothing special. I enjoyed eating the tater tots though they could be a bit more crispy and warm. Save yourself money and just head to Burger Priest or PnL for a quality burger that’s probably cheaper.

This place is pretty good. I ended up coming in here on my own so needed a table for one. They have the convenience of being able to order in and not have wait service. You can also do take-out or come in for full-service restaurant. A burger and fry cost me $ 15 with tax. Food was good and the portion sizes were fair but bordered on small. Seats are comfortable and spacious. bright atmosphere. The waitstaff did not appear too overly enjoy their job. I was greeted at the front door and given instructions on how to proceed. That was good although I was not made to feel overly welcome as if they were excited to see a customer walk to the door. I would come back for sure but would not rush to recommend.

Great place to have a nice burger. Menu was simply but great. You can wait for a table or just head to the back for take out and there’s a place to eat upstairs. I had the«Our Burger» 5 oz burger done their way. Loved the bun and the beef was so tasty. Got a side of Yukon fries, tater tots and sweet potato to share. We also shared the three mini burgers from the entrée. For dessert I went with their classic chocolate milk shake. Although they don’t have a terrace they have the whole side open so it’s great in the summer. Service was great.

As another vegetarian reviewer said: not a lot to choose from. I agree, is it so hard to have a simple garden burger patty on the menu? Lots of places do it, but maybe that’s more of a Californian thing. I didn’t actually go in but I walked passed it every day and man it’s loud. They blast their TV noise on the street. I do not need to know what you are watching, nor do I want to! My dad went down to get us some fries when our delivery was taking forever and came back with fries, tots, and onion rings. First off SKIPTHEONIONRINGS. They were ok for the first 2 bites but they are literally just nothing. They are not big and crispy. They’re what you put on burgers if you want crispy onions. They should not sell these as onion rings. Also, they smelled bad afterwards and the smell lingered for 2 days. Made me feel queasy. French fries good. Tator tots not good either! Sad. It is not hard to mess up a spud puppy, you guys, but it’s basically like a mashed potato ball from here. Skip skip skip.

WE wanted burgers and shakes so we popped in and sat at the bar. Never heard of this chain and no, never watched the show. but don’t fret, one of the flatscreens plays wahlberg only material, his bio, his career, his music, his restaurants. So if you don’t know the wahlbergs, after 30min, i promise, you will. Oshee was our irish bartender and makes a mean milkshake, nice and thick. The sweet water blood orange beer on tap was refreshing and light! Had 2 pints. I ordered a burger with avocado, arrived rather quickly but I could not get over how SMALL the burgers were and GREASY. But we were hungry so we ate our small, greasy designer burgers and the milkshake filled us up. decent experience, we came back again for shakes which was interesting because, in the middle of the afternoon, they had a security guard at the door. They say its for sports fans who tend to fight during game season …frrigin bluejays!

I have to do this review based on my experience and less so on the experience of those I went with. We came here before a Blue Jays game, the place was packed and loud but they do have a good system for alerting you via text when your table is available. We waited about 20 minutes which wasn’t too bad. It took quite a while before anyone came to take our order but it was busy so it is understandable. There are two levels, what appeared to be a takeout counter and TV screens, good for sports fans. The reason why I will not be coming back here and why I cannot give them anything more then a ‘meh’ 2 rating is because they claim to have something for everyone, but I ended up having to eat an order of sweet potato tots as a dinner. Their ‘veggie burger’ option was a mushroom which had more mushrooms on it as a topping, please note Wahlburgers, not every vegetarian likes or wants to eat mushrooms with more mushrooms. The salads were super limited and the caesar had anchovies in it so I couldn’t have that. They seriously need to rethink their veggie friendly options, because they’re awful. I’ve been to lots of burger joints and wing places heck steak houses even have better options for vegetarians then this. Vegan’s forget it, not happening for your here at all.

On our way to the Blue Jays game my friend Bobby and I decided we would make my wife jealous and hit up Wahlburgers. It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone. They have a nice little restaurant on Blue Jays Way near the Rogers Center. It has a nice design with an eat in area in the front and take out at the back near the kitchens. They also have a small balcony area for take out people to eat if there is room. We didn’t want to wait for a table so we headed to the back for takeout. I ordered the Double Decker and Fries while Bobby had the OFD(Originally from Dorcester) and some Tater Tots. We both really enjoyed our food. Everything was really fresh and tasted great. Next time I think I will get the triple because I was still a little hungry but that’s my fault for not getting enough. We were lucky enough to score a table upstairs to eat so we hung out, ate and watched the Jays fans make their way to the game. I will definitly be eating here next time I go to a game.

When Walhburgers opened in Toronto I simply wanted to try it for the sake of trying it. After all, a burger monster’s gotta eat! I am aware that the burger chain is a venture by movie star Mark Wahlberg and his brothers, and that there is also a reality TV show based around it. Since I generally don’t view reality TV, I can care less what it’s about; sounds stupid to me anyhow. However it freaked me out when the first sign posted at the entrance is a legal public film/photography waiver notice. That’s a first in my eating out experience. No film crew on my visit. But the second thing I saw entering was a throng of people behaving like tourists, gawking and snapping pictures at every detail of the establishment. Walking out after eating here or entering, it seems like I just stepped into a tourist trap. This is not a celebrity chef’s place like Susur Lee(who has a restaurant** on the other side of the Soho Metropolitan Hotel building that also houses Wahlburgers). This is a Hollywood celebrity’s restaurant, of course you’ll feel like you’re in a scene and say you’ve been here! Roll out the red carpet… and get the fuck outta way; this is a food serving establishment, not a TIFF première. The layout is confusing. The front part is dedicated to full service restaurant operations, including waiter service and yes, alcohol! They sure love for you to sit down here. Further back and a couple turns later is the usual and more empty quick service order counter, plus some casual seating that extends to the upper level mezzanine. As a warning, the menu for burgers only show the price for their ‘regular’ size. Something I learned the hard way when I was asked if I want the 5oz or 8oz. 5? Only kids eat the 5oz patty! I want the 8 ouncer! Super size that shit; it’s the all-American way, right? Upsell wins, well played. The«Our Burger» 5er is $ 9.69 on the posted menu, but super sized will run ya $ 11.65, $ 13.16 with tax. And what is this 8oz signature Our Burger? It looked like fast food roadkill to begin with. The 8oz beef patty is an oval shaped elongated thing sandwiched between two microscopic kids meal sized buns, sticking out profoundly like IKEA purchases that could not fit in the car so you drive away with the trunk open. It was pathetically tiny overall, the juices was dripping mad like a horribly leaky faucet, and tasted like a typical fast food chain burger. Nothing special, nothing enjoyable, not impressed. The ingredients were barebones basic – tomatoes, pickles, processed cheese, confetti sized lettuce… if you can belt off the Big Mac song, it pretty much describe what they put in it. It took five minutes to prepare this disappointment for me(whilst waiting for my 4-digit order number to be called – sure felt like Mr. Bean in the waiting room scene, because how many thousand more people could there be before me?), and another five to eat it. A $ 13 burger should not take me five or less minutes to consume. I felt sorry for the cows who were sacrificed to produce this blasphemous ripoff. In summary, Wahlboogers is a disappointing, overhyped, and deceptive experience where the star ingredient used is the name itself. Should you go here, do not get the Our Burger, though based on my experience I cannot imagine their other stuff being any more exciting. I felt like I paid for a pack of silver lined underwear for Marky Mark, for it wasn’t worth it. With their high prices for small lame products, one could get much better and more enjoyable burgers – be it a fancy gourmet thing or a greasy thick wonder – elsewhere on the $ 10 – 14 range. **(see )

Fiancée doesn’t like Mark Wahlburg, so I may get in trouble for having eaten here, but the rest of my coworkers wanted to try it. We were on our way to a Blue Jays game, so we decided to get the ‘to-go/self-serve” burgers, i.e. we ordered in the back, got our food and took it to the tables they had set up upstairs. We were all a bit shocked by the price of the food. The burgers were quite pricey for what they were and they didn’t even include a side. I ordered a kids cheese burger with all the toppings and a side of sweet potato tots. I have to say that it was honestly filling for me, but for how much the boys paid vs what they got, quite underwhelming. $ 10+ for just the burger and then extra for fries… In terms of the actual food, it was tasty, the burger was cooked well and the tots were nice and crispy, yet squishy on the inside… the way tots are made to be. There was tons of Wahlberg things on the wall and the top 10 movie clips or something playing above the bar. Not bad, but definitely a touristy place.

Kept passing by this place and I was intrigued as it’s always packed. It’s both a sit down and take out burger joint with a bar as well. We opted for the latter because it was already late; there are places to sit on the second level(by the washrooms). I was boring and ordered the original burger(forgot its name) with tater tots and a soft drink. For what I was paying, the portion was quite small. Burger joints in the city are a dime a dozen so I’ll be okay checking out another business for my burger craving. Good for: burgers, drinks

Had the OFD burger here last weekend with a side of tater tots. It was the greasiest thing I’ve had in awhile… Just between greasy and delicious with it finally going down towards too greasy. Had to walk for awhile and drink rums and cokes before the mess finally settled in my stomach.

When I got here and we were sat down, our server mentioned 18% gratuity would be charged to us immediately for our group. Welcome to Wahlburgers can I take your order! To be honest if you want to try this place I suggest going upstairs to the pick up/take out area where you can order a burger fast food style and sit down and eat it with unlimited pop to boot. It’s basically the same service as you would get in the restaurant, without the annoying TV monitors blinding you and your server telling you, you’ve been charged 18% gratuity, without even seeing the menu yet. I ordered the Thanksgiving Turkey Burger with the sweet potato tater tots. I was expecting a lot based off my friends recommendations and the TV show they have, but boy was I underwhelmed. My burger was dry and tasted like it was previously frozen. I could not even tell it was turkey to be honest and there was barely any stuffing or cranberry on it. The tater tots were also pretty average and tasted like something straight out of a package of McCain fries. Needless to say, I probably won’t be coming back here unless I’m desperate for a burger or my friends drag me out here again. Look elsewhere if you want quality fast food hamburgers like South Street. Heck, even Harvey’s is better than this place and about ¼ the price!

We had supper this evening at Wahlburgers … it opened about a month ago. As you come in the door, you are warned you may be videotaped or recorded. There are lots of signs relating to Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. We both ordered Our Burger and a side of fries. The burger and fries were good. The bun, while nice and soft, needs some work. The top bun was hot while the bottom bun was cold. Plus the top bun wasn’t substantial enough. As a head’s up, they have dropped the automatic 18% gratuity … now it’s only on parties of six of more. Asma took good care of us. If I was in that area and wanted a burger, I’d stop in again.

Upon entering, the hostess immediately informed us all diners in the front would be charged an 18% gratuity. Welcome to Wahlburgers! Is this a sit down restaurant or a fast food joint? Actually, it’s kind of a mish mash of sports bar(several screens), eat-in restaurant(servers), fast food(order and your food will be put into a paper bag for take-out) but you can also eat your take-out food in the back where you won’t be charged 18%? Weird. This burger was A-OK. I tried the bbq bacon burger. The 5 oz. patty was a decent size. The bread was nice and soft. There was a bit of kick due to the jalapeños. If only the patty was juicier though. For $ 9.95, it’s not completely out of the ballpark.
