I went for a hair colour malfunction and the owner did partial highlight and fix my base colour, I can honestly said this have been the best highlights I ever have the colour blend perfectly with my base tone and she took the time to style my hair, great place :)

This has been my second visit here @ Warden Woods Hair and both of my experiences were great! I had Josie for both of the time for cut, wash, and style and I always walk out happy. It’s professional and the workers are very kind, this will be my permanent hair place.

Went recently for highlights and hair cut. I too had a similar experience to a previous reviewer. Let me start off by saying that everyone was super nice and accommodating offering drinks etc. But man, was it a horrible cut and style. I’m not trying to be mean, but you spend a lot of money and time (~4 damn hours!), you expect good service. My highlights too were about 2 inches from my roots. the haircut itself was so uneven. I was debating about complaining so they could fix it up but decided that I didn’t want to take the risk in making my cut even worse. The highlights were done by a Jr stylist and the haircut and blow-​dry was done by Vince
Again, he was super nice but no one there seemed to know what they were doing. The day I went I think they overbooked so Vince was running all around trying to supervise and he seemed so distracted and overwhelmed. Granted that should be NO excuse for a poor cut. I have crooked ends!

Summary: Professional looming salon with amateur to novice hair stylists. Also, Do not go with Vince. He will act like he knows what he is doing, but in the end you will walk away unsatisfied.
I wanted to try a new salon out, and thought this place looked good. The salon itself is new and looks professional on the inside. The hairstylists also are quite nice.
However, that’s where the positive reviews end. I wanted a simple highlight and small trim, but walked away with at least 3 inches cut and a highlight job done by amateurs. It looks like my hair was colored 2 months ago, rather than 2 days ago, because of the huge gap left by my roots, where he didn’t put any color — he was too scared to go near the roots because he was afraid of the color «bleeding» into the scalp– a problem I’ve never had the numerous other times i have highlighted my hair. Even though I brought this up with him WHILE he was putting the color, he assured me he knew what he was doing, and it would look good. In the end I have a botched hair colour and cut that is too short
If you want to avoid taking a risk with your hair, avoid this place, or at least avoid Vince.

Got my hair done here a few weeks back. It was a simple wash, cut, style & it turned out exactly how I wanted it. I hadn’t been to a hairdresser in over a year as the last one was supposed to trim it & ended up cutting off over 10 inches resulting in a bob.
I called the night before & asked whether they had any time available in the morning; I didn’t expect them to at the last moment, yet I figured I would try. They said they were booked, yet they could probably squeeze me in before I have to get to work. I was so surprised.
Josie was so incredibly nice & unlike a lot of hairdressers, made sure we thoroughly talked about what I wanted out of the hair cut & how I would be styling it day to day. My hair still falls perfectly around my face as it did when she first styled it & it looks so much better & healthier.
I will definitely be coming back here in the future & have recommended it to my coworkers & friends already.

A well-​designed space, Vevo music videos and other video entertainment, and a family of experienced hair stylists: my first experience at Warden Woods Salon was an afternoon escape. After I discovered my regular stylist who recently moved away wasn’t available to give me a cut and style for a Friday wedding, I checked out a local salon on Unilocal.
Warden Woods Salon had a boutique feel while still feeling warm and welcoming. The staff was kind and very accommodating. Considering I came in 3 hours before a big event, she made me feel at ease that we could get my hair styled in time.
We didn’t have much time for a consultation, but my hair cut was EXCELLENT. I have fine hair that tangles easily and it’s difficult to cut to a particular style. Two days later, my hair falls perfectly around my face! Success!
The up do was modern, with soft cascading curls, mostly pinned up because of my fine, limp hair. AG hair volumizer added texture and all the AG product she used made my hair withstand a night of misty rain, sweaty soca music and Macedonian folk dancing.
I can’t remember the last time I got so many compliments on my hair style! I felt super pretty and my smile reflected it!
Great service, very experienced stylists, and a warm/​stylish environment. I really lucked out. I can’t wait to go back to get my hair coloured and my make up done! See you next week, Warden Woods Salon!

My stylist was part owner Vince. He was pleasant at first. I was told the entire process should take 1.5 hrs. 4 hrs later I was still there. Vince suggested the color to apply to my hair which I liked!!!
I went from long hair (Which was longer than mid back to a short bob) I didnt want that! I wanted a slight incline /​stacked bob (Long in the front, short in the back) Considering I showed Vince 2 pictures from my phone, which he looked at several times — he gave me one straight cut through out. It was horrible considering I got this done for a wedding on that day. I ended up crying — Josie tried to help while my mature stylist Vince (insert sarcasm) stormed off because he too was frustrated and had to leave to go have a smoke. He just stormed off — very professional there buddy! In the end I would NEVER recommend this establishment if your looking to get any major hair changes done. Maybe Josie is different but considering I walked with 2 photos of what I wanted and wasn’t able to get neither — I would not suggest Warden Woods Studio. If for some way out there reason I could get my hair cut like what I wanted I should have been told not experimented on. I had more than enough hair to get the cut /​style I wanted. I could have done a straight cut on my own hair — Im not not a salon professional. In the end all I liked was the color that was applied to my hair. I literately left wiping my face as I cried … after I still paid full price for everything. You would think they would at least give me a little price break because I left EXTREMELY UNHAPPY /​UN PLEASED.
Just take my advise and don’t go there if you are looking for a dramatic change.

Do yourself a favour and don’t go to this place! I bought a $ 29 deal and went to this salon as it’s close to my house. It’s the worst mistake I made, trying to save a few bucks. Vince cut my hair (the 2^nd owner). The cut is so choppy, layers are uneven on both sides, some hair are longer than others and the bangs are uneven as well. I went home and cried. I had to fix some strands myself. I can’t even go to another salon and fix my hair as he made it so short. I specifically told him I want it an inch above my shoulder but cut it up to my chin and then apologized. It was too late to do anything about it AND he goes on and cuts the second layer much shorter. He also had bad breath the whole time and had his fly open; so unprofessional. Vince is also very sneaky, he styled my hair curving inward so I didn’t see how bad the cut was until I got home.

Bought a groupon for wash, conditioning treatment, style, and blow-​dry! Owner Josie greeted me, discussed what I wanted, and set to work! She gave me some tips on maintaining my hair, as well as how to style it. Clean place and the music isn’t too loud =)

New place that opened up in the Scarborough area near Warden station. Friendly staff and clean place with tall mirrors.
