Great service like all of the wine racks throughout the city of Toronto. Opened a little later than lcbo and always have free wine samples! Assistant was helpful and willing to share his knowledge while sampled some wine and cider

All of my stars go to the fact that this place is open until 11pm. I’m from the US, so I seriously can’t believe that the only time I can get alcohol is before 8pm when the LCBO closes. Seriously???
The staff is very nice, and this location has a fairly good selection.

This is the kindest staff of any store ever. They’re always laughing, having fun and pushing wine samples on you. They have dog treats and don’t charge you for bags. They’re just the best. Five Stars for the staff.
Four stars for their sweet location. Anything attached to Honest Ed’s gets automatic street cred, even if this is a bit of a blah corner otherwise.
Two stars for their selection. I know they have to be all Canadian grapes. But I’ve never enjoyed a wine from here and would never, ever gift someone a wine from here.
PEPPER POINTS for staying open late. Sometimes a girl just needs a bottle of wine at 10:55pm.

This was my go to place to grab wine when I had last minute get togethers. There are great 2 for $ 20 deals for students on a budget and just want to get hammered. Wine rack always made my dinners complete with their selection in good wines.

Pros:
Location is great for Annex and Koreatown shoppers right at Bathurst/​Bloor and it’s open pretty late! There are some OK wines on the Southern Wall and a few on the right side of the Western Wall. I tend to avoid the middle section or by the window which is probably what they sell to hobos and teenagers.
Cons:
Tasting Terrible
They are often doing «tastings» giving super tiny samples of TERRIBLE selections, the worst of the worst, the lowest common denominator. At least when the LCBO does tastings there are representatives from the wineries and you have a shot at it being good, not so here.
Government Created Monopoly & The Consequences
I’m truly sick of Ontario’s liquor laws and the government created monopolies like the LCBO and this private (owned by Vincor) sort-​of-​exception. Here’s a wine store that sells only one company’s wine? Result: Higher prices than more free parts of this country or others and less unique selections.

Oh wine rack. You have terrible taste and you leave a bitter acidity in my mouth. I would never deliberately invite you to a party but you’re always there for me when I need you. When the LCBO is closed or out of reach, you step up to fill my fermented alcohol needs.
You may be my friend of convenience and last resort but I sure am glad I have you.

Wine Rack is useful because it’s always open late and there is no LCBO too close to this location (Bloor/​Bathurst).
The staff is knowledgable and ridiculously friendly, completely agree to that.
What could be improved? Selection. Some of the other Wine Racks have more options, and nearly every LCBO has a zillion times more variety. I feel like this Wine Rack keeps only 25 – 30 different bottles in stock and too many Canadian wines. Lets see some chileans, chiantis and bordeaux please.
Also, more selection in qualityis needed too — I don’t think there is a bottle in the whole store that costs over $ 20!

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this location. I usually get my wine here at least once a week, and I’ve always been greeted with a smile. Whenever I have a question about a particular wine, someone is there to answer it. Their recommendations are usually spot on! I’ve tried so many great wines under their guidance.
There was even one time when I couldn’t find the wine that I wanted chilled, so I had to grab a warm bottle. The cashier asked if I wanted it cold, and he went and got it for me. Turns out, they had the wine I wanted, but it was at the very back of the refrigerator, so the cashier had to go through the trouble of moving all the other wine bottles to get to mine. I know something like this doesn’t take much effort, but the cashier could have easily sold me the warm wine. It’s small things like that make you want to go back.
