Fast and friendly service, but food was bland and greasy. Wings looked old and we’re dry and crusty, fish and chips & potato skins bland and greasy. Wouldn’t go again, would’ve given a 2 if it weren’t for the nice staff.

I had been to the Engine Room in many years and forgot if the food was any good but I was staying close by and needed lunch. The menu items were well priced and the portions were huge. The mozzarella sticks came with an interesting dip that I really enjoyed. I ordered the chicken alfredo as I was feeling a little under the weather and I thought it would be a safe, mild(maybe even dull) dish. I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually very flavourful. The staff were friendly and efficient. I’d definitely drop in again.

Always good food and great service. Meals are big and reasonably priced. Great place to eat.

This little spot impressed me. It doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s a gem. When you get inside the doors the staff a very pleasant, very welcoming. And the food is above par for the pub scene. Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve been completely satisfied. I would recommend this place.

Friendly staff. Food is quite decent for pub food. Went there with a live band. Merimac? I think. They were good. Overall, good times. I’d recommend it.

We dropped into this pub on a Sunday afternoon on the recommendation from the bartender at the Kegger’s Alehouse. There are very few restaurants open downtown on a Sunday afternoon apparently. We had a good meal of fish and chips and fried Digby scallops with onion rings. I really enjoyed my onion rings, which came with a cream cheese herb dip, and the scallops were quite good too. The fish and chips were cheap — under $ 10 for 2 pieces and under $ 8 for 1 piece. The service was pretty good and I enjoyed the decorations at the pub. There are supposed to be good live bands on the weekends and there is a dance floor area. Don’t forget to check out the touch screen juke box at the back! There are also some pool tables near the juke box if you are so inclined. There is a VW bug on the ceiling above the dance floor… don’t know the story behind that.
