Wixan’s Bridge

Decided to tread myself to a prime rib dinner since it was reasonably priced for such a treat. It was mostly all white chewy fat and overcooked with little pink left. My better half ordered wings and a large orange juice. The wings were excellent! The fires were nothing special. When we got our bill we were surprised the OJ cost as much as a carton. It has the potential to be a great place because of the food offerings but they obviously cut corners on quality.

Wixan’s is a little hard to describe. The food menu is fairly extensive, but you know you’re in a British Style (Not authentic by any stretch) setting. They do go out of their way to try and make the food as fresh and pleasant as possible, and offer some curried goodies as well.
The Chicken pot pie isn’t too bad, I do enjoy the make it yourself pasta, and my favourite is the steak sandwich. C’mon it’s comfort food, take your appetite and have fun.

Great place and atmosphere. Great food my favourite is the wings and live entertainments that they have Thursday’s and Saturdays. it’s the best :)

I am still blown away by how good the restaurants are in Uxbridge. Walked into this one after school with the kids for a treat. Décor simple British/​Canadian. Greeted right away and led to a booth with a TV. The kids obviously excited and frankly so was I since they would leave me alone as they watch Family channel. We ordered nachos, 2 lbs of wings, naked with sauce on the side and calamari. Nachos came with the works with mixed chips for $ 9. They were excellent. So many restaurants don’t add all the little touches and charge much more (check out the photo). The wings were meaty and tasty. They marinaded the wings with salt before frying. It is a simple thing to do but most restaurant just drop un-​seasoned wings right into the fryer and expect the sauce to do all the work. Calamari was decent. Try this one if you are in the neighborhood it is great.
