«i’d like a spiced pumpkin latte, please… oh wait, i have to get it myself.» before you shun the service here, im not at a coffee shop… im at 7-eleven? and if you’re excited now, there is also a white chocolate latte… oh, yes, i predict i will be back. scanning over the selection of quick little meals… i noticed what an extensive(and rather healthy!) assortment of sandwiches, wraps, fruit bowls, veggie platters, single apples/bananas/oranges… i was thoroughly impressed! the last time i set foot into a 7-eleven store(which was… uhm…a really looong time) i only remember the processed sugary heart attack-induced snacks like danishes, donuts, twinkies, hot dogs, muffins, pre-made wraps(which i had a few times. until i looked at the wrapper carefully and read i was consuming over 1000 calories!!). i mean, these options were still available(because even i enjoy my 1000 calorie donut from time to time) but im just happy to see that healthy and normal food is available too. =) the little old asian man behind the cashdesk was so endearing… very friendly and polite. he also informs me that i get a free bag of lays chips with my purchase… score! ha ha… so i got an egg and bacon breakfast sandwich, 12 oz spiced pumpkin latte, snack bag of fruits and my chips(ahem…free, might i add)…all under $ 5…double score! i never thought id see the day when 7-eleven would be serving lattes… oh, and it was belly-warmingingly yummy! …triple score!
