A & B Tool Rentals

The company I used to work for always rented from A&B tools, myself for personal use for crafts, they keep all credit cards on file and they don’t even ask which card they’re going to charge on. They illegally charge any card as they see fit (which ever one goes through). They had 8 of our cards on file, none of them had pre-​authorized future rental charge agreements.

My husband recently rented a log splitter to take to the gulf islands over our winter break. The machine broke on the first day. We were unable to finish the 5 days of wood splitting we’d planned. Once returning the machine & asking for a reduction in the rent due to it breaking on the first day they said no, it was our problem because we were on able to return the machine for repairs.
We will not be renting from this company again. There was no incentive offered for us to use them again when they handled the situation the way they did.
If you choose to rent with them… good luck.

A&B Tools moved from a cramped, little, difficult-​to-​access location on Commercial Dr to this fantastic large, clean building on Venables with parking in front for small pick-​ups and several roll-​up doors and a parking lot in back for the big stuff. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the equipment is well-​maintained, clean and in great shape. I rented some heavy duty garden equipment to rip up my yard and start from scratch.
While I was dropping off and paying for my rental, a guy walked in off the street and asked if he could rent a hand tool for some plumbing work he was doing, he brought his pipe with him and asked if they had a walk-​in rate. The guy at the counter handed him the tool, he did his thing right there in the front of the store and handed it back. He charged him a tiny fraction of the hourly rental rate.
I highly recommend these guys. Not sure about the other locations but the place on Venables is top notch.
