Michael G. Armstrong — litigation counsel

Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. He studied law at Queens University and the University of British Columbia and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1981. He was an associate and partner at a major Vancouver litigation firm until 1990 where he practised in the areas of insurance defence and general litigation. In 1990 he established an independent practice at Armstrong & Company, the predecesssor to Armstrong Simpson. Since that time he has focused in the areas of professional legal liability, construction disputes, personal injury and general corporate/commercial/securities litigation. He has appeared at all court levels in British Columbia, at the Federal Court of Canada and at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before administrative tribunals including the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, and the BC Securities Commission.
