This garage/mechanic was recommended to me 7 years ago when I bought a used toyota. I’ve had the best service of any mechanic and can’t recommend them highly enough. They inform when I don’t need a service that the dealer suggested, helped me through 2 recalls on my car’s sunroof and some mechanical thing and their rates are great.
It’s beyond rare to find a family owned garage that doesn’t over charge, spin jargon at you that you don’t understand, and always treats our cars and family with respect.
The piece of mind of knowing I can trust my mechanic, makes buying a used car an easier option for us.
Grateful that I don’t have to question their integrity or intention.

Frankie charged $ 245 for a rebuilt starter which I could have provided for $ 110 plus $ 10 delivery. He also charged $ 136 in labour to install the stater which seems a little on the high side. Regardless, marking up parts over 100% is criminal in my opinion. I’ll confront him on this and see if I get resolution. After a conversation with Frankie, he says the starter is rebuilt in the Bosch factory, not locally rebuilt. He goes on to explain the warranty is good for 2 years in Canada and the US. I’m not buying much of what he says. This review will stand.

A friend recommended this shop for my Audi. I liked how well Frankie treated me when I first arrived. We went for a test drive and pin pointed the problem I was trying to resolve.
Unfortunately they weren’t able to isolate a specific reason for it, and I ended up getting other work done while the car was there — timing belt and water pump.
This is where an auto shop pet peeve set in. I wasn’t informed of the cost until after it was done even though I asked for a quote, and it had already been completed at that point. Another shop quoted me about $ 700, and my bill here was over $ 900 before tax. I don’t mind paying a shop for diagnostics and variations in labour, but it came as a bit of a surprise, and I hope this practice is not the norm here.

A friend referred me to Autobahn and it’s great to have some peace of mind for once, knowing that my car is well taken care of and I can be confident that things are priced fairly. For a couple years now I’ve been taking my car here and I am never oversold on parts or services, and they really know what they’re talking about and are always honest, which I really appreciate.
I’ve recommended Frankie and Autobahn to others and all have expressed thanks a similar amount of confidence in their work and ethics.

I have updated the address info. These guys are at 1700 Kingsway now.
We used to take our fleet cars here at my old work. They were always fast and reasonably priced. Much cheaper that the Toyota dealership. We were lucky enough not to need much more than regular maintenance most of the time but Autobahn took care of us quickly and efficiently and were easy to deal with. I would recommend them.

I found these guys when I needed to have my car inspected for importation– and they saved my bacon when my window motor last week, just in time for the rain. Quick, reasonably priced, easy to deal with– all you could hope for in a mechanic. They’re moving up onto Kingsway, so recheck their address.
