The sales guy seemed nervous, but he found us at the right time, as we were thinking of replacing our old huge machine to correspond with our move. The delivery and connection was fine. But if your office doesn’t have someone with analytical computer-thinking skills, you may want to stay away from Ricoh machines. The driver installation is not plug and play, the paper instruction manual leaves much to be desired, and the menu tree of the settings isn’t organized in a way that is logical to the average person(although they may have improved on these aspects since 2005). We were trying to do something a little bit fancy(like emailing the faxes to ourselves instead of having it print out all the junk faxes), and the Sales guy had trouble helping us. He came around a few times, but I think we just figured it out ourselves through trial and error. They have a smart system for service calls. I sent an email to «dispatch» as described on their email, and a guy showed up at my office less than 3 hours later(which is good, except I had asked that he contact me to arrange a time. Good thing I wasn’t out at the time). We still have that same Ricoh machine from five and a half years ago. No complaints.
