Like finding a good tailor, it’s very difficult to find a good(and consistent) barber until I came to barber and co. The staff is super friendly and cool(oh and very talented). I highly recommend this place!

my gut said to avoid but I went in anyway and paid the price. Asked the red headed girl several times not to make it too short and she practically shaved the sides of my head and left a clump of hair on top which was horribly cut. not writing this to harm their business — just warn others to avoid my fate.

It’s not what it used to be. A shame really, as it was my favourite place in the city.

Stay away from this place. Got my haircut here and the barbers were douchebags. Throwing out the N word. My haircut was decent, but they just seemed rushed and more concerned with their next smoke break.

Created a Unilocal account just for this experience. If it saves one soul from a horrendous cut it will be worth it. You know that feeling as you’re leaving a barbershop thinking«once I shower it out it will be alright — he just styled it different — everything’s going to be alright»? I hoped that was all that was going on but nope — I just got the worst cut of my life, right in time for Xmas party season. Completely uneven — hair looks like it was cut with a dull knife. This place is Magicuts meets inked — all style, no substance — the guys weren’t rude or anything, just not skilled. Being the pussy I am I actually left a tip. Oh well, it will grow back — luckily I can get away with a toque this time of year. There is a sign in this place that says«Good haircuts aren’t cheap, and cheap haircut aren’t good» — at this place they are neither cheap nor good. In short — this place sucks(or maybe I just caught a guy having a bad day)…

This is a two part review. I would definitely say I am a regular here, and after being 5 minutes late to an appointment(which I called about) I had a very weird reaction by the old barber I was seeing. I am a younger man, and when his next appointment arrived, a gentleman around the age of my father, the barber asked me to apologize to the gentlemen for making him wait 5 minutes. Regardless if I was late, I am a customer and that barber lost my business. I went through two mediocre haircuts trying to find a new barber and have been getting my hair cut by Jake Hurn for over 6 months now. He is a fantastic barber. His skill and precision is by far the best I have ever experienced. His concentration and attention to detail reminds me of that of my Tattoo artist. Not only will Jake give you the best cut, he also is genuinely a great guy. He is great at small talk, but also realizes not every minute of the haircut needs to be packed with chatter which allows me to relax. From professional to hip, Jake can pull off so many cuts that its fun to let him use his imagination and give you something one of a kind to be proud of. Jake Hurn turned the image of Barber and Co around for me and made me give them a second chance. As long as Jake is there to cut my hair, I will be back every month!

Holy crap, worst haircut ever. It’s in my neighbourhood, but the problem is all these hipsters are more worried about image than quality. Completely uneven cut on the top of my head. The #3 to #4 clipper fade was totally uneven and he missed several patches so I had to use my own clippers at home to fix his crappy work. I’ve even had to get out my own scissors 3 times now to fix my bangs or other uneven parts on the top of my head. And seriously, the line for one sideburn was totally crooked because he had my head turned down at the time. Don’t ever go here. Ever. Just a bunch of losers that got themselves tattoos and think they’re hot shit. Not.

Buddy referred this place to me. This place is hip and cozy. Ive wanted a specific style for ages. Dropped in after booking an appointment. The barber done it exactly how i wanted. I was stoked. Bottomline, Kurt is the shit. Def reccomend anyone who wants sick fades or anything trendy.

Good atmosphere. Beautiful Shop. Need more experienced barbers but other than that, the place does a decent job and isn’t hard on the wallet

Ok, This is my first review in a while but I felt the need to inform people. I really really really wanted to like this place. As you walk in you notice a really well decorated space. Some of the coolest items on the wall I have ever seen… Just original. I was like holy crap this place is cool. The people working here really have a cool sense of style! I was acknowledged by the barber for my 11:45 appointment… and here is where it went downhill. The barber was chatting on the phone with a buddy of his after I was acknowledged for almost 10 minutes… If it doesn’t seem apparent. We all don’t have infinite amount of time on our lunch hours… I mean come on. I patiently waited while he got off the phone… Finally!.. He sat me in the chair asked what I wanted and started to go to work. I don’t remember his name but I wish I did because I have NEVEREVEREVER had a barber that ROUGH with my head before… I mean its OK to turn my head here and there but he was GRABBING my had and twisting me around… It was ridiculous… At this point I just wanted to get out of there… I had enough!!! After what seemed to be an eternity he finally said its done. I look in the mirror and was like. wow this is really short! He said yeah… that was it. no im sorry is this NOT what you wanted… I was just upset… Their website had said cut was $ 25… The bill came to $ 35… I was pretty upset but wanted to get out of there… From entering the door to leaving it took over an HOUR!!! I was polite and said thank you but I will NEVEREVEREVER…(i know I have used this term before in the review) go to this place again. I would rather pay $ 35 at a salon than this over priced crappy excuse of a barber. Oh and as for the decorations… It was a Donnely Group Venture. They hired someone to make it look like that. No character.just a crappy *sticks tongue out and makes the sound of a fake fart*… That is all! Yuck!

Decent haircuts, average prices… but unfortunately not great in the professionalism department. Texts not returned, double bookings and inconsistent service(ie. straight razor line up some days but not others). Always got a bit of a rushed vibe as well. Ended up taking my business elsewhere after giving a couple chances.

I love this place, Its become a cool place to hang out with all the guys. Great haircuts(im growing my hair so I dont get them) but I take full advantage of the beard trims and neck shaves. I definatly recommend this place for any guy looking for a quality haircut and a place to relax with friends

Nice enough place, with nice enough cuts, but watch for the bait ‘n switch: they advertise fades on their website for $ 15, but they charge $ 25. That ain’t cool.
