I love their cream puffs especially the green tea or matcha cream puff flavour. I also like the cheesecake stick. Bought for my family and they also like the cream puff but they like the vanilla flavour more. The cream puff is bigger than other places but I still don’t find the price is cheap at all

The cream puffs here are decent, but not spectacular in our opinion. The matcha is probably our favourite, it’s not too sweet and given the size of the cream puffs they are surprisingly light. Next time we’re gonna try their other desserts as we have heard good things about them.

I had éclair with the vanilla custard. It was delicious, fresh and not too sweet. The service was very friendly as well. They fill them to order so they don’t sit around getting soggy.

I’ve heard about this place and whenever I walk by it on the way to/from Japadog, I always say I’m going to try it. I finally did and it was a little underwhelming. I love the fact that they had matcha flavoured cream filling however it didn’t have much of that full matcha flavour. If you’ve had pure matcha, you know that there’s a bit of a bitter kick to it? Glad to say I’ve tried it at least but I don’t think I’d be too excited to go back again anytime soon. 2.5./5

small location It was the world’s best cream puff! No false advertising here! I will probably go back next time to to try the other fillings. They put in the filling on the spot(no soggy cream puffs here) cream puff with vanilla custard — excellent cheese cake stick — good

OMG. I walked past this place and my sister wanted to try it out. It looked pretty unappealing from the outside — I expected average-at-best cream puffs that tasted as though you bought them from a Costco frozen pack. Thank GOODNESS I ended up giving it a shot! I have NEVER tasted a cream puff this good! I purchased the Almond Éclair with Vanilla filling, and it was so nice to see the filling inserted into the puff on-demand. The cream was cool and tasted good quality, and the puff had a nice light crisp to it. The portion size was perfect as well. Not too much, and not too little(although I would have happily eaten 5 more!). Nice little shop with some window seating, which we enjoyed as we finished our cream puffs. My sister got the Almond Éclair with Green Tea filling which she described as tasting like cream lightly infused with green tea matcha — she was INLOVE. Next time we are on Robson, we will definitely be going back to Beard Papa’s! On our way back home, we must have brought up the cream puffs at Beard Papas at least 5 more times during conversation! YUM!

I went in earlier this morning to order some pastries. I know it’s a small location, but I was hoping for a larger variety of pastries. The fillings of the cream puffs were delicious though. I got 3 creampuffs with vanilla that were pretty yummy and 3 with green tea that I think were better than the vanilla. The larger chocolate covered pastry I got was filled with strawberry filling and it was the best. Definitely messy, but they were yummy. You can pretty much pick any of the items and have them filled with whatever filling you want from the list(the ones that day were vanilla, green tea, and strawberry). I also got a mango smoothie that tasted kind of like mango milk, but it was delicious.

I’ve never eaten anything from this store, but last night — 9:30 pm aprox– walked by the store and saw«ratatouille» inside the store. Yes, a tiny, grey furred mouse, big ears. And, I have to say… cute. It was climbing up a whitish pipe that it is right in the corner near the window(inside the store). I can see how the movie Ratatouille was inspired, although I was not inspired to try their products… Cause I love animals, but not near food.

I’d had these cream puffs before and so as my mom & I were walking down Robson St and I spotted this location I knew we had to stop by after we had lunch. There wasn’t too much of a line when we came back around and once I ordered, I decided on 2 regular cream puffs for about C $ 4 and my mom got 6 mini puffs for about C $ 5. The girl was nice behind the counter, just not too talkative but the puffs she made were really good. Omg, so very delicious those Beard Papa cream puffs are, especially with the vanilla filling and they are cheap. I’m pretty sure I inhaled the 2 puffs I had got and I needed several napkins for my messy hands, haha. I’ll be back most definitely when in the Vancouver area!

This is a tiny stuffy no air conditioning hole in a wall accross from IGA on Robson. Just stop in for a good #FoodOrgasm in a vanilla cream puff for $ 2.50 taxes in. Oh my… I gobbled it and the whole thing was over in less than a minute! Mmmmmm!

When I looked up Beard Papa I was surprised how many there were in the area. The bright yellow board was easy to spot. I’ve tried most flavors back in beaverton store, so I was eager to try the mango but it was not available. It seems the flavor changes daily for 3 flavors — green tea, strawberry, and mango. Since I’m departing on mango day I was not able to try it. I didn’t see large container of puffs nor smell fresh ones so perhaps business is slow. Customer service was average. Very standard BP.

There’s nothing I can write to properly describe the quality and flavor of these morsels of joy! The texture is decadent and fluffy, with a light finish on the cream. The original is the best, although once you’ve been there 9 times(a week) you’ll want to play with the green tea and other flavors. Perfect stop after dinner for dessert and coffee.

Beard papa’s has really taken this city by storm over the past few years and deservedly so. The product that this company delivers on a consistent basis is impressive and delicious, with flavors to please many people’s taste buds. Personally, I’m not much of a cream puff fan(much to my girlfriend’s chagrin because she’s obsessed) but there’s just something about the green tea puffs that Papa’s offers… man I tell you it’s special. All the pastry parts of the cream puffs are sitting there, pre-made, in a basket before the cream is squeezed inside and for what it’s worth, they FILLTHEMSUCKERS!(my experiences anyways) At about $ 2.50 each I think they’re worth it, this location also has drinks including another Vancouver favorite. BUBBLETEA! I haven’t had it here, but I think I will try it one day.

I was surprised to learn from the sales girl that more people come in during the winter time(maybe due to heavier appetite?) than in the summer time. I had another one of their daily special green tea cream puffs($ 2.35), plus I wanted to try the«cheesecake stick»($ 2.25). Puff is crispy and custard is perfect, she’s smart not to over pump the puff pastry, otherwise it’d leak like last time.

This experience was exactly what I’d expect. A Japanese girl serves you a tasty(albeit messy) cream puff. What did you expect? I had the green tea one,…and though not a huge cream puff fan liked the«dough» and filling just fine.

Cream Puffs! I was super excited to try Beard Papa’s Cream Puffs. We were there on a Tuesday so the special flavors were Caramel and Green Tea as well as the always-available vanilla. The puffs were delicious. They don’t cream them until the last minute, so the puff stays light and flakey and doesn’t get gooey or gummy sitting next to the cream for a day or a week, waiting for you to sink your teeth into it. The flavors were good, I’d say caramel was my fave, but I’m not really a green tea person in general. The minus one star came from the overall experience. There was loud music playing(I’m not old, the music really was loud, stop it!) and there was definitely some kind of communication error going on between the server and my family. I don’t know if it was not hearing over the loud music, or a language issue or what. My father ordered a coffee, thinking it would go well with a cream puff, and there was coffee on the menu… but you would think that no one had ever ordered a coffee before. First, they looked at him like he was crazy. Then they scrambled around to find a cup, then to find some coffee. Then he asked for some cream, and there was a long discussion between the two workers. It was bizarre. If you don’t want to serve coffee, if you want to stick to cream puffs and leave the coffee to baristas, I get it. Take the coffee off your menu and move on. But this was just weird. Anyway, although the overall experience was less than ideal, the cream puffs were delicious, and I would definitely come back. Next time, I’ll know to stick to the cream puffs and pick up coffee elsewhere.

I normally dislike cream puffs because they’re not the most exciting pastry/sweet treat out there. But like I’ve said about a previous Beard Papa review, BP is way better than other cream puffs. Not all locations have my favorite green tea cream puffs which I think is the best flavor. This location has green tea. So, I got the mini cream puff set of 6 for less than $ 5. I thought about getting all green tea cream puffs but I got 2 of: green tea, vanilla and chocolate. They’ll charge you 50cents for a box.

Unique and perfect. Best cream puffs ever. They are so light I’m sure they must not have any calories… Right? Sweet service by sweet service people. The only problem with this place is every time I go downtown I have to white knuckle it to NOT drop in and scarf down that fluffy goodness.

We were just walking down Robson street minding our own business and then my daughter comes up to me. Cream Puffs. World’s Best. Walked in and it’s a tiny little shop. One man show. He said this is a company from Japan. Never heard of it. They are only in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Virginia. So they have all these mini cream puffs and éclair without any filling. So they had three different fillings today. Vanilla, chocolate, and green tea. So when you order they fill them with your fillings of choice. Had to try it all. So ordered all three cream puffs and eclairs. I was a little weary about their statement of World’s Best. So the cream puffs were really good. Lite, not too sweet. I really like the chocolate the best but all were really good. Probably the best I’ve ever had but then again I haven’t had a lot. Were probably going down Robson street tomorrow and probably get some more cream puffs. So good. You got to try them.

The Service: FANTASTIC! Only one staff on duty… so please be patience. Everything is made to order. The Food: All the cream puffs were prepared the same day. The puff is so soft, the vanilla & green tea filling are so creamy! They are not over-sweet. JUSTPERFECT!!!
