I’m with a lot of the other recent reviewers: the customer service here needs some serious work. Day in here to catch up with a friend for a few hours — not one did someone clean tables(it was really busy), the were always lineups, and it took a while to get my drink. It seems, texting and gossip is what pays the bills here, instead of cleanliness and a smile. Still I return? Maybe. If I need reliable WiFi and power outlets, big windows… And everything else along this strip is packed(which it usually is).

Very nice coffee place, big windows from both side and lots of sun all day. However, everytime I came here, baristas were really unpleasant. No «Hi», no «thanks», no «bye», not even a fake smile! The only time they talk to you is for payment. But stupid me, it’s so true that talking and laughing between colleagues is much more fun than talking an taking care of your customers…

Love the newly renovated space. I miss the old employees coz they were very friendly. Their mixed berry protein smoothie is good.

After waiting approx 5 minutes for service while the two staff hung out in the back texting and giggling . Then not being understood because her English is horrible.(not against foreign workers) just against workers that can not or will not learn the local language. Then after this had to clean one of many uncleaned tables Just to be able to sit down and enjoy our coffee This place has gone down hill real fast in the last few months. I suggest cleaning tables quickly and prompt service of the customers. So hint get new staff that do not get paid to hide and text

The first Blenz I liked. My friend used to work here when it first opened up. Loved the coffee there. Used to hang out there often and get my morning commute java before getting on the bus to work. It was nice to know it’s still there and still awesome as Blenz always should be. Stay awesome Blenz Your Matcha Lattes are the best. Way better than Starbucks!

quite the busy one, BC sure knows how to pick their corners :) though not as big or busy as Davie/Granville, it’s usually quite tough to find parking here, and the bus stop there doesn’t help. definitely good for the walking locals.

For coffee shop on a rainy Friday evening this was busy, however, managed to find a seat and do my thing. The service was good, baristas were happy and the drink I had was made to owner.

Wi-fi is good. Coffee isn’t my favourite. Expensive food. Mediocre so 3 stars. Although the bathroom once had a needle in it that the staff was informed of & they dealt with this situation promptly & discreetly so props to them for this. However, a needle? really? ew! Check the bathroom before your child goes in to use it!

I don’t normally review chains, but I make an exception for local chains. And Blenz is definitely not something that I find in my neck of the woods. We stopped by here for a pick-me-up during our downtown trek. I got a macha chillato that was accidentally served to me a size larger than I had ordered. I appreciated the extra portion, but it wasn’t that good. It was refreshing, but tasted watered down. Next time I’m in Van-city, maybe I’ll try another flavor.

On Sunny mornings around 6 or 7AM(or earlier) Koan gets up and is ready to rock and roll. Just like me. Unfortunately my wife loves to sleep. This means we have a dilemma. What to do with our pent up energy? Our solution. Don the Baby Ergo and hit the streets down Davie to English Bay. By the time I hit Bute street I’m like a caffeine junky needing a fix and thank god Blenz is there to save me. The girls on the morning shift are super cuties, everyone of them and they love Koan! The patrons in line always strike up a great convo and it’s nice pit stop before strolling down to English Bay. The Latte is creamy and has a good hit of espresso. It’s perfect for sitting at English Bay. This Blenz is totally different at 7:00AM than at 11:00PM. Both fine, just at 11:00PM it gets crazy. g

I must be the only one who is consistently disappointed with this location. They don’t carry stevia packets,(other locations on Davie do) they are by FAR the slowest baristas of any shop, and not because they are making a better coffee. I got a sandwich which was dated as sell by the next day– holy crap, it was already soaked through on one slice of bread, the other was completely stale. How does that even happen? Regardless of how, it was a $ 7.00 bite of gross.(I know these aren’t made on site, but the quality was terrible) The protein shakes«made with frozen yogurt» were made with Dairyland Frozen Yogurt mix poured straight out of the carton. Not frozen. And really, really awful. This spot is now on my «don’t bother» list. If I want blenz I’ll go to the Granville/Davie location, I’ve rarely had any issues whatsoever there.

I come here before work almost every night. The Hot Chocolate is the closest I will ever be to tasting a hug. Great for those rainy Vancouver nights when you realize you’re a loser destined for working the job you have twenty years after you die, and that you will never be a rock star. Just like everyone else. The mochas make it all better though. For about Eight minutes anyways. Bonus: Free Wifi that doesnt suck.

Great service, Great Atmosphere, Great Drinks. I ordered a White Hot Chocolate. No powders or syrups used. It was oh so delicious! I wish we had a Blenz Coffee down here in Southern California. Can’t wait for the next time I’m in Vancouver, so I can go back to Davie Street Blenz Coffee and get another one.

The New York Times crossword puzzle cult lives here! They don’t even print them off the internet; they actually clip them out of the paper and work on them. Not just one either, but multiple ones at a time. ;) Go for the delicious strawberry tea, avoid the food and coffee, watch the puzzle cult(which I *may* join) and you’ll do just fine!

Benz coffee is a Canadian chain which serves better coffe than Starbucks. The roasts flavors are fresher and the coffee is made by drip. I found myself coming here on multiple occasions on my visit. They also have free wifi for all patrons who order an item from Blenz. If you need your java, Blenz is a good alternative. Plus I’m the Duke of this Blenz. Not bad for an out of towner.

One of the more friendly and chilled Blenz coffee bars. I recommend the cheese and ham croissant. There is free wifi. You have to ask for a voucher at the counter.

Blenz surpassed Starbucks. I mean, I don’t love starbucks, but I really don’t have a choice since there’s a Starbucks in every single block. Blenz by far is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I ordered their caramel machiato. When I got my coffee, it looked very pretty! They even had the cute little swirly poo on top! We also ordered a ton of pastries! I swear, I need to check my blood sugar from eating too much sweets in that café! Our favorite pastry was the Rocky Road Brownie chunk. It was the last pastry we ordered and even hesitated to get it after eating our Red Velvet Cupcake and some pecan pastry thing. I’m so glad I made the final decision to order the Rocky Road Brownie chunk! I pray everyday that Blenz will soon open one in The Bay Area!

Saturday morning in Vancouver. I want my coffee. There’s a Starbucks a few doors down, but my sweetie is a Peet’s kinda guy. Too far north! But there is a Blenz at the corner. Why not support a Canadian company? We sit outside watching the locals enjoy their coffee with lots of cigarettes. I have a lovely latte in a ceramic mugs. Isn’t life grand?
