Has the kind of crazy ambience and décor posers strive mightily for, but it’s no pose. Good cheap food, cheery harried service and a world. People get married here according to the graffiti. I love it.

$ 2.95 greasy breakfast goodness. What do you get for $ 2.95? 2 eggs, 1 sausage/ham, 2 slices of bread, HUGE order of yummy potatoes. Oily, unhealthy and as yummy as you can get. If you are health conscious, please don’t come here. Service is fast and self served at times. It’s not a place for you to chit chat your morning away. Wait staff will rush you if you take up too much time as the line up for tables get longer and longer. Some reviews have said that this place is ghetto. It is not your typical restaurant and there is graffiti on the wall, but it is by no means dirty. Bathroom is safe too fyi. 2 super yummy brekkies + coffee for under $ 10. Yes please!

It is what it is, and I love this place. Not pretentious. Food like they made it in the 1970s. If the servers are too busy, get your own coffee! Need a pop refill? Get your own; they are happy to show you! Servers are nice and casual. Walls are personalized by customers… famous for their cheap breakfast, but try their turkey(skip the stuffing) or shaved roast beef dinner. Great mashed potatoes with gravy. Order peas or salad NOT carrots(trust me on this one). $ 9.50… Good value– hot and filling.

I’ll only go here for breakfast. Anything other than breakfast food is a little meh. Overall, their food is super cheap and definitely filling. My friends usually do two to three orders of the special per visit. Also really enjoying the atmosphere — it’s super laid back and a good place to hang out with some friends while grubbing on some good food. I always have to visit this place at least once every time I visit Vancouver.

LOVE the atmosphere. I would go back many times just for it. The breakfast special was below average(slightly cold and undercooked), but it’s also $ 3 and that probably contributes to the quality. It’s pretty edible though, which is more than I can say for some $ 30 breakfast I’ve had in Vancouver city. The chocolate milkshake is decent. But the atmosphere is very charming and this is a great place to hang out. You don’t go here for the food.

As an anthropological study, it’s fascinating. As a study in hygiene, it’s terrifying. As a study in effective watering and food service, disappointing and frustrating. The wait staff don’t cover for each other, and there aren’t enough people for a constant stream of customers. It became clear that my guy was so busy being a host that he had no awareness of his tables. Can’t review the food because I never got it. I left.

Love this place, it tastes like home. it’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. If you are one of those people who goes to a nude beach just to «check it out» but then find yourself thinking«what’s with all the naked people, have they no shame??» then this place isnot for you, so please avoid going as complaining princesses are not what the regulars go for. Yes, it’s greasy and cheap and the décor is. well it looks like chaos. Those who love it will go often and rave about it as I do. Order the breakfast, menus are for amateurs and ask for the garlic and onion hash, if you like garlic and onions in ur hash. they also serve cheap beer, so get a pitcher if you want too, only if it’s not busy, otherwise chow down and make room for the next ppl!

I used to live in the area and I have to tell you, I think they have the cheapest breakfast in the entire Vancouver or even in the entire BC or maybe in the entire Canada. Yes no kidding. $ 2.95 for breakfast and includes GST. So this was the price 20 years ago. yes I remember coming here as a highschool kid and being a poor student, my friend and I would share a breakfast. Yes that breakfast was huge back then. But now its only good for one. Please don’t share with me, I can’t be half full. Ok, so I usually get the breakfast with sauge, toast, sunny side up eggs(2 small ones), hashbrown. The tip is to come when its super busy, I notice that is whey the hashbrown are awefully good. Why, well because its overly cooked and I like hashbrown that are over cooked and crispy. Food is yummy. This may sound awkward, I have never drank from their plastic cups before. Yes, I have been here more than 20 times and I have never drank water from their plastic cup. Well I was kind of put off of their cup. Coffee is pretty expensive here if you compare it with the breakfast. Yes its almost the price of a breakfast. But its unlimited and its self serve. Lots of things here are self serve. If you need water, you have to get it yourself. You need extra utinsel, go get it yourself. I am ok with no service. Because I expect it. Yes if you ask the server they would tell you to help yourself. Pretty cool eh. Please note I am not complaining here, I just find it interesting. I do like this concept. This place is awfully packed on weekend and sometimes weekday(not so much). They closes at 7pm but at night there are not a lot of people here. Yes its a hipster restaurant. The décor is interesting. I remember 20 years ago, all chairs were different and all tables are different. Pretty cool eh. Pretty retro looking too with garfitti on the wall. LOL

Been a while since I was here and was in the ‘hood so stopped by for breakfast. The place was much dirtier than I recall. There was food on my seat and the table was not clean either. I ordered my usual: the breakfast special subbing out the toast for a pancake. The over easy eggs were over hard and there is an extra charge for bacon with the breakfast special now. The coffee was passable and it was nice to have the option of grabbing the pot and filling my cup as needed. I came away full but not sure if I would go back after this last experience.

I’ve heard about Bons from friends and coworkers and with a $ 2.95 breakfast how could I say no? My boyfriend and I went yesterday mid afternoon. I got the breakfast special and he ordered pancakes 3 high with eggs and toast. Our food was served to us quickly and low and behold it was actually hot! You would be surprised how many other places have served cold toast and bacon. My eggs were a little undercooked in some parts but whatever. I just ate around it. The boy’s pancakes were delicious and huge. Very filling breakfast for both of us and with drinks the total came to under 15 bucks. Both of us were very satisfied. Also the interior is super funky. Kind of greasy but that’s part of the charm. Movie posters all over the walls with graffiti over them. Would I go running back? Eh. Maybe if I was in the area I’d stop in but its quite the commute for me just for breakfast. Glad I experienced it though and would recommend to anyone who’s craving a greasy, cheap meal.

Absolutely amazing in a hip way. It’s an old kinda bitten up place where it has its charm. Massy and dirty walls covered with hand written notes, stickers, old posters. Enough about their high taste in décor. The food is just simple and very affordable. Exactly what you need for breakfast to be. Two eggs and hash brown with toast, choice of bacon or sausage; under 3 bucks and tasting amazing. This is my dream world. In vancouver under 3 bucks for home style heart warming breakfast. C’mon. Let’s get down to it. Do you need more bluffing really.

This is a one of a kind, completely unique Vancouver experience! There is nothing else in North America to compare so why try? The breakfasts are amazing value, the ambience is off the scale, the servers rock and the Price IS Right folks. The graffiti only adds character …

Dirty and Filthy I came here because it was recommended by Vancity Buzz. I ordered the pancakes for $ 8+. I could not take more than a few bites due to a fishy and oily taste. The scrambled eggs were placed on top of the pancakes instead of serving them on 2 separate plates. It resulted in soggy, fishy tasting pancakes. The restaurant was dirty and filthy. The washroom was disgusting. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked a different fork because my fork had leftover food on it. She took it, and came back with the exact same fork. I subsequently scratched the bits off with my finger nail. Highly not recommended. Spend a few dollars more, and eat at a restaurant that is clean.

Came here a while back and have to say you can’t beat the price! The food and service aren’t great, but it’s worth trying for the experience. The crowd is really different from what you’d find at the usual brunch places. It wasn’t really my vibe, but the food was decent and the price was great!

Going for the authentic hipster brunch experience, I learned my lesson really quickly. Unlike every other time of the week, Sundays are a complete war zone here. The lineup went out the door, and the inside looked like a comic book convention. I would recommend every other day of the week but this one. The other thing I learned — do not get the nachos here. See pictures. It is honestly the saddest nacho dish I have ever had in my life. A pile of what looks like Tostitos(the supermarket variety), with some peppers thrown on top. Salsa tasted like it came from Superstore, and I’m sure the sour cream is as well. I could whip together something better and more presentable at home in 10 minutes. My friend and I were ready to cry. Fortunately, the $ 3 breakfast redeems this place, and will keep me coming back.

This place is a hidden treasure. Great if you want a basic but satisfying, cheap and greasy brekkie; seriously can’t go wrong with the $ 2.95 all-day breakfast special. * Chill company all around. * Friendly service. * Waited in line on a Saturday morning, but it didn’t take long before getting seats. * Practice your graffiti skills on the walls while you wait. * Listen to some Obie Trice on their jukebox.

One time something fell off the ceiling near my food, but I ain’t even mad, because 2.99 breakfast. The milkshakes gave me diabetes, and I loved it. Plus the two jacked asian dude waiters are pretty hot. One is slightly hotter. 10⁄10 would vandalize walls here.

I hate to say this, simply because Bons at night is my newfound hidden gem. Known for the cheap breakfasts, people forget that they’re open all day and into the evening. I’ve had great meetings here. Who’d ever think you could conduct a one on one business meeting here? Perfect place for the incognito I say. I asked about the specials and really wanted the spaghetti and meatballs, but had to go with something a bit healthier. Went with the chicken wrap with nice crispy veggies. Good choice! I hear the Chinese food isn’t half bad either. And the best deal is that the bill was affordable and the coffee aplenty. 4 stars but I shouldn’t tell you that. It’s my hidden gem!

The Best Greasy Spoon in Vancouver. The walls are covered with Movie posters that you can doodle on! Even the wall are Doodle able. The all day breakfast is unbeatable. There is outside seating in the spring. I used to bring my dog here. after the dog park. We would sit out side and let my dog eat the eggs from the second breakfast. The line can be big but it moves fast. And Bön sometimes walks through the restaurant
