Bow Wow Haus

I went in looking for Plaque Off for my dog. It is a very effective product that helps remove plaque and helps with bad breath.
I walked into the store and was greeted by a woman who said «I guess I’ll take the ‘back in 5 minute’ sign down since it didn’t work!» I honestly didn’t see the sign and the door wasn’t locked…
The lady proceeded to tell me they didn’t carry Plaque Off, and that I should change my dogs food. She then went ahead and told me that my dog was overweight. I said he was really fluffy because he just had a bath. She reached down, scratched his sides and said «nope, he’s overweight!» He was at his vet recently and was given a clean bill of health (weight included) and I kindly said as much to this woman. I thought she would stop at this point but to my dismay she said «yeah, well I don’t have much respect for any vets in Vancouver.» Wow. This woman just doesn’t know when to stop…
He’s an older rescue that isn’t suuuper energetic. He has bad allergies and is on special food that helps minimize his reactions. I take good care of my dog.
I was super offended, but thanked this uncouth woman for her (unsolicited) advice, and left.
If I wanted a lecture I woulda called my Mom. I won’t be going back there. Ever. It’s overpriced anyway.

I’ve taken my dog here twice now and she’s come out looking fabulous both times. More than that she seems like her normal happy self which is something I look for in a groomer. Reasonable prices and good service.
