History

Established in 1993.

Gary’s father, Albert Bullock began our family’s love of optics in the 1940’s where he began at Toric Optical on Hastings St., Vancouver at the young age of 16.

Gary followed in those footsteps at the age of 13 working part time in the lab. He moved his way through the lab to becoming an optician and finally a shop owner in 1993 with his partner in business & life, Leslie.

Gary & Leslie opened their first shop in Richmond in Nov. 1993 when their first born was just 18 months old and opened their second in 1996 in the Arbutus Shopping Centre. With the news of a second baby on the way, they combined both practices into the Arbutus location.

In April 2001, Bob Brown from Regency Contact Lenses joined their Practice.

In 2011, the services of an independent doctor of optometry was added for eye exams & health checks.

Now, 21 yrs later we have expanded to our modern new shop at 2827 Arbutus focusing on the same principals of superb eyecare & eyewear. We shop the world for you!
