I heard about this place through my best friend. There are tons of deals to be had and he’s come back with stuff for us to watch at amazing awesome prices. Vancouver’s best kept secret for DVD’s and box sets. Come with a list ’cause the place has a very weird organizational structure. Staff are friendly and always helpful.

Alright you movie junkies I’m here to educate you, if you love and collect movies, animé, manga, or TV shows and don’t know where or what this place is, you need to. Stop going to amazon or eBay because you cant find a movie you want, stop ripping yourself off, stop ordering from HMV, stop buying movies you don’t even necessarily want and only got because it was on the shelf and what you really wanted wasn’t, the only place you can get a variety like this is a pawn shop and the odds of you getting what you want there are slim to none. I have collected a plethora of rare and hard to find movies from this DVD warehouse, things that you cant find anymore such as: — Flight of the Navigator — Harry and the Henderson’s — Drug Store Cowboy — Short Circuit — The Secret of Nihm — Batteries not Included — Bullet — THX1138 — Plan 9 From Outer Space — Gladiator(not the Russell Crowe version) and on and on and on They have pretty much every criterion collection film ever made and a huge selection of Animé and mange. Boasting over 30,000 titles and 10,000 discontinued titles this place has got it going on, not to mention the money you can save. All this in a room that’s about 40 feet by 20 feet not only organized alphabetically but by the company who produced the flick as well eg: universal, maple, sony, etc… Your first visit will probably be filled with hunting questions and may be a little overwhelming but it really is quite easy, and hey if you don’t want to go check it out they will deliver to your house. Of course you will need a membership to even get in the room or purchase from the company but no fear a membership is free and can be got in minutes on . So come on movie lovers get your member number and check out this well kept secret.

Since moving here I have found it hard to locate obscure movies, so I am glad I discovered this place. A little intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of the way this place operates, it is pretty neat. On the down side, they kind of watched me as I shopped, like I was going to steal something. Maybe it’s my tats. Anyway, no biggie. I’m used to that. I only hope that they can stay in business with all the online competition, because I enjoy browsing there and finding old gems.

If you have a heavy wallet and some time to kill I can see one enjoying their time at this little warehouse that’s location is as obscure as its many titles for sale. My father and I as owners of a video store visited this place a couple of times and at the best of times we felt like intruders. In fact I had to talk my father into going a second time thinking maybe the owner was just having a bad day but no my father was correct and the second expierence made the first look like an episode of Ann of Green Gables. Our friend Steve came along for the second expierence and wanted them to order a copy of Inherit the Wind in for him and they flat out said no. The owner has no customer service skills to speak of and even at the time of purchase which was $ 158.00 looked angry that we weren’t spending more. In fact he rudely stated«you guys know you can purchase on line» sort of a «subtle» way of GETOUTOFHERE! The staff look like scared soldiers waiting for the next command from their leader. Prices are outrageous compared to other outfits of the same ilk and I am shocked that there still in business. They do have an excellent selection but until the pirate of this ship is still aboard, I will never step foot in this establishment again.

This is the secret little DVD warehouse that’s got a huge selection of the most obscure and hard to find shows you’ve been looking for, they have a huge Manga section, as well as mainstream selections. I was on the hunt for a couple early Dr Who dvd’s and wasn’t disappointed here. I love that you can buy many new release movies here a week before the general public(which can come in handy if you really want to see a show again) Membership is free! what more can you ask for? Some of the prices are a bit higher than can be found at big box stores, but being able to locate that copy of punky brewster season 1 may well be worth the extra little bit.

C&L Multimedia is the place to go if you are into obscure or hard to find movies and tv shows. They seem to stock all of the old goodies for a very cheap price! They also carry all kinds of new movies and tv shows but they just are not all that competitive when it comes to pricing of the newer titles. They also have a very large collection of Manga comics there to if you are into Asian comic books. To shop here you have to be a member of the club but that is not really a problem. You are able to sign up for free at the door on your first visit. You must be buzzed into the store area as it is more of a warehouse than a store really. All the titles are laid out in sections based on the studio that released the film or tv show. The easiest way to find what you are looking for is to search on their computers there to find out who distributed it so that you can go find the movie in a quick manner. None of their products have prices on them as you can scan them at any computer terminal and it will bring up the prices. This store is meant as a distributer for small stores and the like so there are discounts for members that spend more money. If you are only a customer that drops by every once and a wile you will probably not get a discount as you will not spend enough money here. I really recommend this place if you are looking for older movies especially ones that are harder to find as they will most likely have it and for cheap!
