Absolutely disgusting. Not very hygienic at all. I will be contacting BC Coastal Health once I’ve heard from the owner. I’d like him to try to resolve the situation, first. He doesn’t seem like a reasonable man, though. His staff are poorly trained and extremely ignorant toward the gravity of the situation. I tried calling to report a few things and a very rude lady over there got all defensive when I was just trying to help. She hung up on me when I asked to speak to her boss. I then had to track down the owner myself and still haven’t heard back from him. Probably because he doesn’t care about his customers. The ham and cheese croissant sandwiches are about $ 9 for the thinnest slice of ham the machine would allow, and the thinnest slice of cheese on a tiny croissant. These sandwiches are so sad looking that they probably get bullied by other sandwiches. How they get away with disrespecting our intelligence is beyond me. If you are an intelligent person, it is in your best interest to stay away from Caffe Artigiano. Such an unfortunate waste of a business. The owner should be ashamed of himself and stop cutting corners before someone gets sick or ripped off. Terrible hygiene and terrible value. Terrible food and the worst coffee. Go to a real coffee shop. None of this phoney garbage. The manager of this particular location is a really nice gal though and did whatever she could to fix the sandwich, but she also agreed that the portions are extremely cheap and that the owner, Willie Mounzer, doesn’t care much about what the customers get. She doesn’t have a say in the portions unfortunately. She probably doesn’t get paid very well either and I’m offended by that on so many levels. This Willie Mounzer man(or should I say he’s a little boy, since his products are so pathetic?) is clearly a real piece of work.

Good spot to catch up. It fills up as it is located in the downtown core, so be patient but the turnover is not too bad. The lattes are always my go to(as they have pretty latte art) but their panini sandwiches are also great. I have frequented many Artigianos and the vibe here is quite consistent through and through. Solid caffeine. Yes. I was awake till 1am on a decaf americano…

Burnt americano, dry muffin, light piano music like a delta hotel lobby but without the wifi. Thankfully the staff was friendly.

Great coffee and nice seating outside. But how does a coffee shop in 2015 not have wifi. I ordered here expecting to use it, can’t be much of a cost to a business in this location to pay for a basic connection.

My regular morning spot when working downtown. Consistently good and a super convenient spot. Would give it five stars if it weren’t for those few coffee shop gems in gastown and Chinatown, etc.

My favourite location is still on Hornby but this isn’t too bad, they are opening another location on burrard soon at lobby of office building. This has pretty decent size seating with few outdoor tables. The food selection seems smaller for some reason Value 4⁄5 Atmosphere 3⁄5 Service ¾ Quality 4⁄5 14⁄20

We had a large breakfast, mine was with smocked salmon and so far everything was good.

Meh. It was okay — but for $ 5 for a grande latte, I’ll go get a venti flat white from starbucks instead! At least the line was short ;) I like the décor, good tables and a decent sized place, plus nice people.

I got the spanish latte because of all the amazing reviews. The spanish latte is a very good drink however if you want to sleep at night, i recommend drinking it early in the morning. I got the grande size and it was pretty big and i was extremely full afterwards. They do have 4 different size drinks but its only for specific drinks. Overall, i recommend this place if you want good coffee.

I go here and the other location semi frequently. They know how to make a latte and the staff are really nice, however, I find that their snacks aren’t that desirable, therefore, it is more of a grab and go situation.

I think Artigiano lost it’s way when it expanded a few years back, and the Granville Street location is the epitome of that decline. It is with out doubt the worst of the Artigiano locations. The coffee is average at best, and my traditional cappuccino was the worst ever today. There are so many other cafés that do better coffee.

Coffee here has gone downhill; but location is prime and another great location choice by Artigiano. I’d have to give Scuie and other nearby location better review but the location is hard to beat.

This is the worst, most overrated and expensive coffee Vancouver has to offer. I even rank Starbucks over this. They may wow the uninitiated with fancy foam art, but the underlying bitter burnt coffee that they serve belongs in a gas station. Other good coffee within walking distance: Koffie, Sciué, Mario’s, Bel Café, JJ Bean… Pretty much anywhere else.

Currently, I’m sitting here on my iPhone right now thumbing my review on Unilocal. Really nice service people, ambiance is a little loud and busy. That is just due to the amount of people here, there’s a wide assortment of people, loungers like me, group of friends chatting in Chinese, loners in business suits or on laptops, and couples . Latte art is really fun and there’s something decadent & fun about admiring the latte art and relaxing in a booth with a full brim cup with noise around you. Worth a drop in again! There’s no wifi offered by the restaurant, just a FYI !

If you want to find the perfect epitome of crushed human spirit and people who genuinely hate their jobs, I’d recommend coming to this café. I got more scowls from the barista than from my grandmother without her morning tea. Spanish Lattes from this coffee chain are usually second to none. With this particular location, instead of the silky and creamy texture, I received a thick stack of milky bubbles. Enough heavy bubbles to send a tryptophobe into fits. Very disappointing.

This location makes an OK latte, but it’s nothing to write home about. I think the barista has a lot to do with how good your coffee will be, and at this location, it was a miss for me. That being said, Artigiano is still better than Starbucks!

This place is overhyped no doubt. I walk past this place on my way to work every day yet never checked it out. Then I noticed everyone in the office came bearing Artigiano cups so I decided to pop in. Came in for a snack and a nice latte, boy was it bad. The paninis they had were stale and there was barely any meat in it, for $ 9 I really do expect some more. The latte was cold, I specifically requested hot because I saw the disclaimer. The latte wasn’t fragrant and it was just very eww, for lack of a better word. Service was rude, the barista/order person came across stiff and impolite when I asked a question they mumbled something and replied in a harsh tone, excuse me, maybe you shouldn’t be in customer service. Only thing is they have comfy seating, I wouldn’t come back for that either.

I have only ever had one thing at Caffe Artigiano, yet every time I visit Vancouver I make a point of coming back. It’s called a Spanish Latte. It should be called crack. A double shot of espresso. Steamed whole milk. Sweetened condensed milk. Latte art. As a lawyer, I cannot support theft of intellectual property, but for God’s sake can’t somebody in Toronto knock this off? Otherwise I may just have to buy a franchise. But then I’d drink all the profits, violating Tony Montana’s cardinal rule: «Don’t get high on your own supply».

Great coffee, great Americanos, great cappuccinos. To be honest, I would skip the baked goods; they aren’t the greatest for the money they charge.

They take their coffee seriously at this place. It comes hot, dark, and rich. If you’re a fan of fancy-schmancy latte art, then they do some lovely trees and leaves. Personally I’m a black coffee kind of guy, so no leaves for me. But I can appreciate it anyhow. Though isn’t the gallery of latte art on the wall a bit much? I digress. If you want coffee on Granville, choose this or Trees. Trees for a more intimate atmosphere and gorgeous cheesecake; Artigiano for real, dark, rich coffee. I decide as soon as I get off the bus. Today it was Artigiano!

I absolutely adore the morning team at Starbucks at Hornby and Dunsmuir, but I’ve given up waiting in that very long line to get my morning americano at Caffee Artigiano on Granville at Dunsmuir. This is just a step up from my usual morning Starbucks. Wait, a step doesn’t do it justice, lets call it 2 steps… ok, 3 steps. The crema on the americano adds a creamy richness to a zero calorie cup of awesome. It’s so delicious it almost feels like a cheat! The espresso itself is not in the least bit bitter and does not leave a burnt aftertaste. It’s smooth and almost sweet on its own. I definitely recommend you switch from Starbucks to Artigiano. The extra $.35 is totally worth it and will improve your morning by, well, 3 steps! (I give 4 stars because I now compare everything to 49th Parallel which is a complete home run. While Artigiano is awesome, it’s not quite up to par with 49th. I’m not hating, I promise. This review, after all, is telling you to put some Artigiano in your morning step!)
