This is my favorite restaurant by far, the food is delicious! They give you such a big portion for a good price. The owners are Muslim, everything is halal and they are very respectful and sweet every time we have food here. Manchurian fried rice is so yummy!

OK but slow service. Inconsistencies in taste and portions. The best item is definitely their Hakka noodles. their selection of noodles is the best.

Well the chow mein sucks and tastes like reheated spaghetti noodles that some college kid decided to turn into chinese food with a bottle of soy sauce and a dash of apathy. The spicy ginger beef was actually pretty good. I asked for it hot, and would say it was more like medium, but the flavor and texture were quite good. Granted it was in the 30s outside, but I don’t care if my nipples are capable of cutting glass, I won’t ever want a cup of warm tap water with my meal, at least not unless i have a normal glass as well. Sigh…I’m really starting to not trust Unilocal reviews anymore.

Been coming here for over 10 years and have to say the food is consistently delicious. Anything«Manchurian» fried rice, noodles, chicken, shrimp etc is amazing. It’s quite spicy, but also flavourful and not very greasy. The portions are family sized and great for sharing. The haanji prawns are deep fried and coated in a chilli sauce. They are really good. The mambo chicken is very similar to a sweet and sour chicken. This dish seems to be a favourite on Unilocal, but I think the Manchurian items are the real winners.

Have gone the last two times I’ve been in Van. My cousin who used to be a Hakka chef took me the first time. Just as good this time. Shrimp pakoras(not on menu) to start, Hakka veg chow mein, shrimp and chicken Hakka rice, manchurian chicken, spicy garlic ginger beef were all amazing. The chilli chicken was good. The owners were Chinese from Chennai, it doesn’t get more authentic then that.

The food is always delicious and served hot and fast. The biggest problem here is portion control. My wife and I had the Manchurian Eggplant and Garlic Sweet and Spicy fish about a month ago. Tonight we went and our portions were nearly HALF the amount on the plate! We brought this to the attention to the server. She obviously couldn’t care less as she just said, «I’ll let the kitchen know» and then walked away. When I got up to pay, the friendly lady behind the counter asked if everything was okay. I told her very politely that the portions were nearly half of the amount compared to our last time. She tried to explain that the portion may have«looked» smaller depending on how the fish was cut…(???) She realized how ridiculous that sounded, and apologized and handed me her business card. If you have issues with your meal, contact Peter & Zarah Zang. Get the portions under control and I’ll gladly give this a 4 ½ to 5 star rating.

This brings back memories of home! I love Indian-Chinese food and this restaurant is amazing. The staff all seem very happy and the service is very good. My favorite on the is menu is their Manchurian Chicken and the Chicken Fried Rice. The prices are great and the portions are large.

This is hands-down my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. I can’t stress it enough: if you aren’t a regular customer here, become one pronto. The food is unreal. We have tried a ton of dishes and often find the best way to discover new things to love off of the extensive menu is to ask the delightful staff what they recommend. Everything is super spicy and tangy. The flavours blend together SO well and the dishes are the perfect size for sharing with larger groups. My partner and I have practically become CPH evangelists. Everyone we know has been converted! The service is also wonderful. The employees and even the cooks seem to go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. The staff even insist on holding my baby son so my partner and I have a chance to eat hands-free. Run, don’t walk. You won’t regret it!

My fiancé and I found this place on Unilocal and it had good reviews so we decided to check it out. I love Indian food and he loves Chinese so we thought it would be the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, aside from the friendly service, we would not recommend anyone to eat there. I had the crispy garlic tofu app and the sweet and sour tofu with scallions; and my counterpart had the chicken satay and the ginger garlic chicken and we were both extremely disappointed with the quality and flavors… Or lack there of. Everything was deep fried and bland expect for the sauces which were lacking in depth and extremely salty… Only thing they had going for them was they were thick. Overall and very lackluster dinner experience.

Very good spicy, flavourful chinese food with an indian twist. I’ve come here twice already, first with a friend and the second with my husband. It blew my husband’s mind away — the fried rice and chow mein here are especially good. We love spicy food and they certainly delivered. The only reason why I can’t give this place a 5 is that it’s kind of dirty. The first time I went, there was a bug in the hot and sour soup. I also wouldn’t look around too much or look in the back. But you kind of know that already going in, so I’m giving it a 4 star for the food flavours and taste. Definitely food that is out of the ordinary. Service has been kind to us and we’ve never had trouble parking. Can’t wait to go back!

Ok, so this place is famous for Indian Chinese food. For people who haven’t been to India, here goes a short description. When Chinese food reached Indian shores it metamorphosed to cater to the Indian palette. More specifically, the food from Chilli Pepper House is closest to its counterpart from Kolkata(East of India). The food is slightly sweeter that the general Chinese food, and also more flavorful. We had planned a surprise dinner for one of our friends who is leaving Vancouver soon. We were a group of 11, and due to high customer traffic, it took them an extra 10 minutes to accommodate us into their establishment. Moving on to descriptions of particular food items, and recommendations. For starters, try the Sweet Corn Chicken Soup. It’s delightful, and comes in HUGE portions. For example 2 plates of soup sufficed for a group of 11, all of us quite voracious eaters. Man, this reminded me of the soups you get back in Chinese outlets from Kolkata. We also ordered the Chicken wings, which were quite nice. :) Same goes for Hakka Chowmein, and the Chicken Fried rice. Very well prepared, not oily at all, and true to how Indians prepare Chinese dishes back in India. The Mambo Chicken and the Garlic Fish have a similar style of preparation, both prepared in a sweet sauce. If you do not like a sweet non-vegetarian dish, I would recommend against ordering the sweet version of these dishes. We had a couple of people in our group who were not enthusiastic about the spicier version of the dishes, so we ended up ordering the sweet versions of Mambo Chicken. Also, if you want to try different flavors, don’t order both Mambo Chicken and Garlic Chicken, the gravies would taste very similar. A lot of people in the reviews have recommended the Chili Chicken. Personally, I did not like it that much. A true Indian knows that in the Indian Chinese preparation, the flavor of Chilli Chicken comes from generous servings of bell peppers in the gravy. And the bell peppers were sorely missed in the Chili Chicken here. :( It is the slight disappointment in the chicken dishes(Chili Chicken+Mambo Chicken) that resulted in a 4-star review changing to a 3-star one. The ginger beef was quite nice on the other hand. It is mostly beef, delightfully fried in a ginger sauce. The service is very good. The asian lady serving at our table was so nice! She gave valuable recommendations and advice. And after hearing us talking in Bengali, came up to me, and talked in Bengali! I was so taken aback, I had to ask her about how she picked up the language. Guess what, she has been in Kolkata(India) for 20 years. So, now we know where the inspiration of Indian Chinese food comes from. ;-) Summing up the key recommendations: 1) We really liked the Sweet Corn Chicken Soup, chicken wings, Chicken Hakka Chowmein, Ginger Beef and Chicken Fried rice. 2) Order only one of Mambo chicken and garlic fish, and go for the non-sweet version if you can. 3) If you are going in a big group, and want to have a table at 7:30, maybe ask for a reservation at 7:25 or 7:20. This joint is always super crowded, and it might take them some time to move things around. To be fair to them though, this was only a one time experience, hence, should be taken with a pinch of salt.

This is where you’ll see me almost every month. It’s my favorite place to eat since everything I’ve tried on the menu has been spectacular. It’s filled with so much flavor with the right amount of spices. The best appetizer to order are the crispy hot wings and chicken hot and sour soup. There are toooooo many options as an entrée but my most selected are manchurian, chilli and szechaun chicken. The crispy beef is also delicious. And for all you seafood lovers, you must try the haaji fish. Also, it’s better to order chow mein than rice. The service is great from the first step in the restaurant. I’m a regular customer now and they know me by my face. They’re so down to earth and always exceeding customer satisfaction. Loo0000ve it!

One of the good restaurants provide authentic Chinese foods in Vancouver. Parking can be very tricky at dinner time. They accept credit card.

I ordered a shandi(sprite beer). Why list it for $ 2.95 if when you deliver 2 mixed drinks, it is $ 5.90? And why, would you suggest the Assorted veggie manchurian(type of spicy sauce) when a newbie like me asks about your chicken sweet and sour? Regardless I loved it all and especially devoured the dry garlic spicy green beans. Yum
