DBA Roy Stevens Drycleaning

Avoid these guys like the Plague!
I borrowed my friends dress for another friends wedding! The next day, Sept 10, I dropped off the dress to be dry cleaned at DBA Roy Stevens Drycleaning.
Apon dropping off the dress I had told the russian clerk at the time of drop off, that I had problems with having my garments go missing on 3 separate occasions in the past. She assured me that this time they would get it right. She than told me that she would write it in her computer, and they would call me upon completion of the garment. I have since visited this establishment 2 times, to no avail.
I am never given a concise reason as to why my garment is not finished, or to whether they even have my garment still? Today I called them asking where my garment was for the 3 time. I notified the lady on the phone that I was assured that they would call me when it was completed. Why had they not done so? Where was my garment now? She answered me by telling me that they had no ideal where it was?
I was soo frustrated I had to hang up the phone. You’d think that Roy would be personally calling me and apologizing about this event, as well as comping me for my dry clean clothes, especially after having it since sept 10 and we are now November 9 in good faith, so not to loose a customer. Especially to correct this disaster in service.
I finally got my dress back, after explaining I had borrowed the dress from a friend. I told them my friend advised me that it should be no longer than 2 weeks for dry cleaner to have your clothes. The lady than said well how about if something is wrong with the garment, and it needs repairs? I said it is up to the establishment to than relay this to the customer, which I had no one do this! Than the clerk admitted that I was not the first person to complain, that since the Russian attendant lady had surgery a lot of complaints has come in. I think that Roy doesn’t know how to run a good business. When the establishment has royally messed up which it did. They owe it up to the customer to cover the expenses in good faith. Otherwise they loose customers due to dissatisfaction of very bad, or lack of quality of service. They didn’t even give me a percentage off.
I will no longer be using DBA Roy’s Drycleaning.
These guys have very bad customer service. Worst they don’t make it up to the customer when the customer was so badly treated.
Good riddance I say to bad rubbish. Don’t go to these guys as they are more of a headache than it’s worth. It’s ok to fix someone garment if it has to be fix, just notify the customer. Keep your clients in the loop ! It’s just bad business sense to keep the customer constant worrying where there garments are? Or worse off stolen.
You’ve lost me as a customer for good, I hope that people take heed and go else where than this dry cleaners. They are definitely the worst, in having your garments go missing for extended periods of time.

I’m having the same issue. They’ve been «cleaning» a dress since last year because it had beading. They can never give me a straight answer and they never call back when they say they will. I think they lost or stole it. After (I should say «if») I get my dress back I’ll never go back.
* update: picked up the dress and it had a stain on it! I was told to give it another day. Are you kidding? I’m afraid I’ll never see the dress again. On the lookout for a new dry cleaner.
